🌿 Up next in our Peachtree with a Purpose series is Trees Atlanta, working to protect and improve Atlanta’s urban forest by planting, conserving and educating across the metro area.
By supporting Trees Atlanta at the Northside Hospital Peachtree Road Race, runners invest in expanding the city’s tree canopy, helping improve air quality and create healthier communities for runners, walkers and families alike. Trees provide shade, reduce urban heat and make neighborhoods cooler and more comfortable for outdoor activity, while green spaces also support better mental health and overall well‑being.
From its founding in 1985 to today, Trees Atlanta has grown into one of the city’s most widely supported nonprofits, powered by volunteers and community impact. Their work can be seen along the Atlanta Beltline Arboretum, now recognized as the world’s longest linear arboretum with more than 7,000 trees and 700,000 plants.
Run the Peachtree with Trees Atlanta and help grow a greener, healthier Atlanta with every mile.
