Picture a client walking in with fatigue, brain fog, disrupted sleep, metabolic dysfunction, digestive complaints, multiple lab panels, and six months of CGM data.

Every piece might matter. But they don’t all matter equally, or at the same time.
So where do you start?

This is the question I’ve been asked more than almost any other over 30 years of clinical practice and practitioner training. And it’s why I developed the B.L.I.S.S. framework, a way of organizing complex cases, recognizing which patterns deserve attention first, and building a clear sequence without handing you another protocol to follow.

I’m teaching this live at CALIBRATE, my three-day Functional Medicine Intensive, November 6-8 online.

Replacing a prescription-driven approach with a supplement-driven protocol is still an allopathic approach. The container changed. The thinking didn’t.

I say that with love, because I’ve seen it happen in even the most well-intentioned functional practices, including my own early in my career. More testing, more supplements, more protocols layered on top of each other. And the client is better, maybe, but not well.

The practitioner who stands out right now is not the one with the most tools. It’s the one who can step back, see the whole person, connect meaningful patterns, and build a logical step-by-step plan customized to that individual.

That’s clinical intelligence. And that’s what we’re going to sharpen together at CALIBRATE, my three-day Functional Medicine Intensive happening November 6-8 online.

Your clients don’t arrive with one symptom and one cause anymore.

They arrive with years of history, multiple symptoms across systems, a stack of labs, genetic reports, wearable data, and a collection of conflicting advice from podcasts, their doctor, and whatever AI told them this morning.

The challenge isn’t finding more information. There’s plenty of that. The challenge is knowing what matters most, what’s at the root level, and what will actually help this person change their life.

That’s clinical reasoning. And it’s the most underbuilt skill in functional and integrative practice right now.

That’s exactly what I’m building the CALIBRATE Functional Medicine Intensive around. Three days, live online, November 6-8. For practitioners who are ready to stop chasing protocols and start thinking at a higher level.

Tomorrow, I'm teaching a training I've been really excited to share with you!

If you've followed my work for any length of time, you know how passionate I am about helping practitioners think differently.

I want you to be the practitioner who recognizes the pattern everyone else missed. The one who knows what questions to ask. The one who can take a complicated case and find a clear, personalized path forward.

And now, with AI changing the healthcare landscape so quickly, I believe we have an incredible opportunity to become even better at what we do.

But we need to be thoughtful about how we use it.

Tomorrow, during The Practitioner AI Can't Replace, I'm sharing five skills that will help you stand apart in this new era, plus practical ways AI can support your work without replacing your expertise.

I would LOVE to have you join me live.

Have you ever opened a new client's file and wondered where on earth to begin?

I LOVE complex cases. There's nothing quite like that moment when the pieces start coming together and you begin to understand what's driving the patterns.
But I also know how much time and mental energy it can take to sort through all that information.

That's one of the reasons I'm so excited about AI.

Imagine being able to organize that information, explore the relevant pathways, and prepare more thoroughly, so you can spend more time on the part that really needs YOU.

Asking the better question. Recognizing the missing piece. Determining what deserves attention first. Helping your client understand what to do next.

That's the kind of practitioner I want to help you become.

Join me October 21 for my free training, The Practitioner AI Can't Replace.
We're going to explore how to use AI to work smarter while becoming an even better clinical detective.

Join me! Comment “SKILLS” and I’ll send over the link. The replay will be available for everyone who registers, so even if you can’t join live, save your seat today.

Want to know what I think will separate exceptional practitioners from everyone else in the age of AI?

It isn't how fast they can generate a protocol or how many AI tools they know how to use.

It's how well they THINK.

I've identified five skills that I believe every great practitioner needs to develop:
1. INVESTIGATE: Ask better questions and look beyond the obvious.
2. INTEGRATE: Connect symptoms, history, labs, genetics, and lifestyle into a meaningful picture.
3. INTERPRET: Recognize which findings matter and which may be distractions.
4. INDIVIDUALIZE: Create an approach that fits the actual person, not just the diagnosis.
5. INFLUENCE: Help people understand, take action, and follow through.
These skills have always mattered to me. But with AI transforming healthcare, I believe they're becoming even more essential.

On October 21, I'll show you how to develop and strengthen all five, and how to use AI to support each one.

Comment “SKILLS” and I’ll send you the registration link directly. If the timing doesn’t work, no problem. Register anyway and you’ll get the replay sent to you after the event.

Two people can have the same lab results and need completely different approaches.

This is something I've been teaching for decades, and AI hasn't changed it.
That's why I get so excited about teaching practitioners how to go beyond the obvious and ask better questions.

And it's why I believe the practitioners who thrive in the age of AI will be the ones who know how to interpret, integrate, and individualize, not simply collect more data.

On October 21, I'm teaching five skills that will help you do exactly that, while showing you how to leverage AI to become even more effective.

It's free, it's live, and I'd love to see you there!

I'm not afraid of AI replacing great practitioners.

I'm far more concerned about practitioners who don't recognize how much healthcare is changing.

I've been experimenting with AI, and I'm excited about what it can make possible.

Imagine being able to organize a complicated case history in minutes, investigate a biochemical pathway without spending hours searching, or walk into a client session better prepared to ask the questions that really matter.

That's powerful!

But here's the distinction I want every practitioner to understand.

AI should make you a better thinker, not do your thinking for you.

It can help you uncover possibilities. You still need to determine which ones make sense for the individual you're working with.

That's why I'm teaching THE PRACTITIONER AI CAN’T REPLACE on October 21.

I'll share five skills that I believe will become even MORE valuable as AI becomes part of everyday healthcare.

And I'll show you how to start using this incredible technology without losing what makes you an exceptional practitioner.

This is a free live training and I don’t want you to miss it.
