A lot of men say they want freedom. But freedom without responsibility can eventually become a pretty small life.
Marriage, fatherhood, mentoring, serving other people, these things cost you something. Your time is no longer completely your own. Your decisions affect people besides you. You have to become more patient, less selfish, more dependable.
And strangely enough, that responsibility can give your life direction.
At some point, the question shifts from “What do I want to experience?” to “What am I building, and who is better because I was here?”
That’s where legacy begins.
