Can castor oil bring on your period? No, it can't. 🙅‍♀️

If your period is late or missing, it's because something isn't working correctly, not because your period needs a nudge. Castor oil, castor oil packs, parsley tea, vitamin C, anything that promises to bring on your period without fixing why it's late is a myth.

The real question is why your period is late or missing in the first place. Stress, under eating, over exercising, PCOS, thyroid issues and coming off birth control are all common reasons. If you could be pregnant, take a test, and if your period has been missing for months, talk to your doctor. 💛

If you've searched "how to bring on your period" or "how to make my period come", this is why I'd skip the hacks.

Finding out why your cycle stopped is the hard part. The Conceivable Report asks what I asked every woman in my clinic and shows you what's behind it and what to fix first. Link in bio.

Can ibuprofen delay ovulation? Yes, it can. 💊

Ovulation is basically an inflammatory response. Your follicle has to rupture to release the egg, and that process relies on inflammation. So anti-inflammatories like Advil, Motrin and other NSAIDs can disrupt or delay it.

If you're trying to conceive and reaching for ibuprofen for cramps, headaches or pain around the middle of your cycle, that's worth knowing. Talk to your doctor about what's right for you during your fertile window. 🗓️

If you've been wondering "why did I ovulate late this month?" or "can NSAIDs affect fertility?", your medicine cabinet might be part of the answer.

Timing ovulation is confusing enough without something hiding in plain sight. The Conceivable Report looks at everything going on in your cycle, the way I did in my clinic for 20 years, and shows you what's getting in the way. Link in bio.

What causes late ovulation? So many things, and often it's a combination. 🔍

Underweight, overweight, exhaustion, insulin resistance, PCOS, sometimes endometriosis, your diet, chemical exposure, stress and over exercising can all push ovulation later.

Late ovulation means a longer cycle and fewer chances to get pregnant each year. In my clinic I wanted to see ovulation happening around cycle day 14 to 16. If yours is happening on day 20, 25 or later, that's worth paying attention to before anything else. 📅

If you're asking "why am I ovulating late?", "why is my cycle so long?" or "can you get pregnant with late ovulation?", this is where I'd start.

Late ovulation is rarely just one thing, which is why it's so hard to figure out on your own. 😩 The Conceivable Report sorts through which of these are actually showing up for you, the way I did in my clinic, and shows you what to fix first. Link in bio.

What keeps me going when trying to conceive feels impossible: my dad told me almost every day of my childhood, "You are a river going down a mountain. Ain't nothing can stop you." 🏔️

If you've ever stood next to a really big river, you know. It doesn't matter what you put in front of it. It just goes around.

I've lived with a lot of chronic illness. I've had blindness. And that line is what always helps me. You can block me, you can punch me in the teeth, I will get up every time. 💪

If you're in the hard part of infertility right now, the waiting, the negative tests, the "just relax" advice, borrow it. You're a river too. 💙

And when you're ready to stop guessing and get a real plan, the Conceivable Report shows you what's going on underneath, the way I did for women in my clinic. Link in bio.

Does progesterone regulate your cycle? Not really. Progesterone can trigger a bleed, but that's a withdrawal bleed, not a real cycle. 🩸

It isn't fixing why your period isn't coming on its own. Stop the progesterone and the bleeding stops too, because the reason behind it never changed.

I don't like band-aids. Whatever is causing a missing or irregular period can also play a role in getting pregnant AND staying pregnant. Honestly, I'd rather you not get pregnant yet than put a band-aid on something and have you miscarry. I had two miscarriages, and I wouldn't wish that on anybody. 💙

If you've been told to take Provera or progesterone to "regulate" your cycle, or you're wondering why your period only comes when you take it, this is for you.

Figuring out why your period went missing in the first place is the hard part. The Conceivable Report digs into the why the way I did in my clinic for 20 years and shows you what to repair first. Link in bio.

Vitex and getting pregnant: I don't recommend anyone take Vitex (chasteberry) while they're trying to conceive. 🌿

Vitex can make your chart look better. Your BBT, your cycle length, even your ovulation. But it isn't considered safe in pregnancy, so you have to stop it the moment you get pregnant, and whatever it was doing goes away right when you need it most. In my clinical experience, I saw a lot of miscarriages after that. 💔

So whatever you want to fix with Vitex, an irregular period, a short luteal phase, low progesterone, I want to fix by understanding why you have that symptom in the first place. Is it what you're eating? Stress? How you're exercising? Usually it's a combination.

If you're asking "does Vitex help you get pregnant?" or "should I take chasteberry for fertility?", this is my answer after 20 years in clinic.

Figuring out the root cause behind an irregular cycle is the hard part. 🧩 The Conceivable Report asks the questions I asked every woman in my clinic and shows you what's really driving it and what to fix first. Link in bio.

Unexplained infertility when all your tests come back normal? In 26 years, I've never seen a true case of unexplained infertility. 🔍

That doesn't mean everyone I worked with got pregnant. It means there's always something underneath that explains why it isn't happening yet. "Unexplained" only means there's no single diagnosable cause.

Take a short period, one or two days of bleeding. On its own it isn't a diagnosable cause of infertility, which is why your labs come back normal and it gets called unexplained. But in my clinical experience, light periods can make it a lot harder to build a uterine lining thick enough for implantation. 🩸 And why there isn't much blood matters even more: what you're eating, not eating enough, digestion problems, over exercising, stress.

If you've been told "everything looks normal, just keep trying," I know how maddening that is. 💛

Normal labs plus a short period plus exhaustion is a pattern, and nobody puts those pieces together for you. The Conceivable Report finds those little things the way I did in my clinic for two decades and gives you a plan to repair them one by one. Link in bio.

Is IUI worth it? If your IUI failed, you're not alone, and here's why. 💛

The IUI success rate is about 11 to 13% per cycle. Think of it like an 11% chance of rain: that means an 89% chance it doesn't rain. Most IUIs don't work, and at around $2,500 a round, that adds up fast. 💸

IUI can be the right tool at the right time. But it doesn't fix anything that makes it hard to get pregnant or stay pregnant. It just gets the s***m a little closer to the egg. In my 20 years of fertility work, I always wanted to fix the underlying issues first, things like a short luteal phase, low BBT after ovulation, light periods, poor s***m quality, and then try IUI if you still needed it.

So if you're asking "why did my IUI fail?" or "should I do another IUI?", the better question is what's getting in the way underneath.

Nobody sits down and connects those dots for you before you spend another $2,500, and that's so frustrating. 😩 The Conceivable Report does what I did with every woman in my clinic: it looks at your whole picture and shows you what to fix first. Link in bio.

10 things to stop doing if you're trying to conceive, and why I say skip them.

1. Fertility monitors. They track hormones, but they can't tell you why your cycle is off, and they cost a lot for that.

2. Skipping BBT. Your basal body temperature is free and shows you if you ovulated and how strong the second half of your cycle is. It's one of the best signals you have.

3. Clearblue Easy. An LH surge means your body is trying to ovulate. It doesn't mean you did.

4. Mucinex. The idea is that it thins your cervical mucus, but there's very little evidence it helps you get pregnant.

5. Plastic. BPA and phthalates are linked to hormone disruption. Switch to glass, especially for anything hot.

6. Perfume. Synthetic fragrance is one of the most common hidden sources of phthalates.

7. Over-exercising. Intense workouts most days of the week can stall ovulation for a lot of women. Your body needs to feel safe and fed to ovulate.

8. Fasting. In my experience, skipping meals pushes stress hormones up and works against you when you're trying to conceive.

9. Ovulation tracking. Predicting ovulation isn't the same as fixing why it's late, early or missing.

10. Myo-D-chiro 40:1. That ratio is meant for women with high testosterone. If yours is normal, it can work against you.

And the one I care about most: not getting your Conceivable Report.

It's the same assessment I did with over 10,000 women in my clinic. You answer the questions and upload anything you have, like labs, BBT charts and photos of your supplements. Then you get a personalized report of 30+ pages showing what's driving your fertility and what to fix first. It's $89. Link in bio.

Fertility do's and don'ts from 26 years in fertility. It goes fast, so screenshot it or watch it twice.

Some of these Don'ts are things women are told to do every day: Mucinex, Geritol, pomegranate juice, legs up after s*x. Some of the Do's take five minutes and tell you more than any app.

Which one surprised you? Tell me in the comments.
