Day 5 of caring for Tala’s hotspot - update 🐾❤️
If you saw my previous post, you already know the protocol I’ve been using these past several days to help support healing naturally — so be sure to check back on that post for the full routine I started with.
Over the last 2 days, I added a new product into our rotation that I found at one of my favorite local healthy pet stores, and I’m honestly really loving it so far. It’s a hotspot balm by Project Sudz made with Manuka honey, aloe, and just a handful of other natural ingredients. The ingredient list was super short and clean, which immediately caught my attention.
I also looked into the company itself and loved what they stand for — organic, eco-friendly products created on a honey bee farm in New Jersey 🐝🌿 I absolutely love supporting small businesses that align with my values and my mission of keeping natural wellness products in our home for my dogs, myself, and my family.
Right now, Tala’s treatment routine includes:
✨ Essential oil spray once daily + probiotic
✨ Hotspot balm once daily + OnGuard softgel for immune support
✨ Keeping the area clean and protected with her cone
The spot is definitely starting to scab over nicely and already looks much better than it did a few days ago. Tala still has her cone on to prevent scratching, although thankfully she really hasn’t been trying to bother it lately. I truly think adding this balm into the routine has been a huge help.
My hope is that by the end of this week we’ll see even more improvement as the scabbing starts to come away and healthy new skin appears underneath 🙏💛
One thing I’m passionate about is helping pet parents find more natural ways to support their dogs’ health and wellness. As an animal aromatherapist and pet wellness advocate, this is exactly the kind of work I love doing.
So whether your dog is dealing with hotspots, skin irritation, anxiety, wellness support, or you’re simply looking for a more natural approach to pet care, I’d be happy to help you create a plan that feels right for your dog and your home 🐶🌱
Feel free to reach out anytime — I’m happy to help with the full wellness picture or even smaller issues like this one.
