One of the greatest gifts this sport has given me is the wonderful humans I’ve met along the way; teammates, coaches, officials, volunteers and friends have shaped my life in ways I never could have expected.

It is so much more than a game. It’s confidence, resilience, connection, accountability, joy, and a place where people get to discover what they’re capable of.

Monday morning hikes are even more meaningful right now. My bestie and her dog Nova in tow, a great way to start the week. Hi it's Cheryl 💓

I'm in the woods on Mondays. It's a chance to clear my head before the hustle. There are still lots of questions about what's happening in our industry. Not a lot of time. Nov 12 is right around the corner. (Follow the latest on h**p regulatory updates, link in bio)

On the way there, Brad from Grown In called to chat about their upcoming Harvest Exchange on Oct 8. He asked me a simple but powerful question.

👉🏽 What would the ideal situation look like? If you could get what you really need out of our conference, what would it be?

My first thought was growth. Scale up opportunities? Investors?

But after my walk things became a little more clear. I think the real answer is freedom.

Freedom to scale thoughtfully. Freedom to build the right partnerships. Freedom to keep creating products people trust. Freedom to grow Urban Apothecary beyond all this regulatory uncertainty.

Because even with everything shifting around us, I'm not thinking only about how to protect what we built.

I'm thinking about how to grow it. Responsibly, with more structure, stronger partnerships, clearer pathways and a little more room to breathe.

Sometimes clarity comes while walking outside with mud on your shoes.

What if the next chapter is freedom?
