Orthodontic elastics (rubber bands) are an important part of treatment. They are used to apply steady pressure to align your bite and correct your jaw position. Braces align your teeth but the rubber bands help align your bite.
They can be used to correct an overbite, underbite, cross bite as well as an open bite.
They come in different sizes as well as colors.
Not every patient will need to wear elastics.
