😂 Yet ANOTHER batch of bug spray was made yesterday!
I’ve honestly lost count of how many large batches I’ve made this summer. Next year I may need to invest in a VAT just to hold it all. 😂 You guys have definitely kept me busy!
🌊 Today I’m making our Seaside Detox Bath Salts, one of my personal favorites.
Seaweed powder, bentonite clay and spirulina create a beautiful mineral-rich soak that leaves my skin feeling incredibly soft. I love the scent, the warm water and the feeling of being transported somewhere else.
Basically, I sit in the tub pretending I’m a mermaid. 🧜♀️😂
No time for a bath? A foot soak gives me a little of that same relaxing ritual—although my version of self-care sometimes involves sitting on the couch with my feet in a foot bath, answering emails and trying not to splash the laptop. Pro tip: pick whatever is in season Pineneedles pinecones, rose petals, mint leaves, even beach stones to roll your feet on!
Nothing says “spa day” like Wi-Fi, unfinished paperwork and the risk of soaking your computer. 😂
As we head into the Christmas craziness, I’m reminding myself that self-care doesn’t have to be a whole production.
Last night, I took a Seaside Detox bath, used my Liquid Sanity essential oil blend, turned on tiny battery-operated tea lights—because I’m apparently not responsible enough for real candles 😂—and sat quietly for over an hour. No phone. No work. Just a chance to ground myself and let my brain be quiet.
Sometimes self-care is simply:
🌿 A 15-minute foot soak
🌿 A mini facial or mud mask
🌿 Body butter massaged into tired feet
🌿 A calming essential oil blend
🌿 Sitting quietly without your phone
🌿 Taking ten minutes to do absolutely nothing
🌿 Working from the couch with your feet “marinating”
It doesn’t have to be expensive, take all afternoon or look Instagram-worthy.
Sometimes you just need one little thing that tells your brain, “Okay, we’re done for a minute.” ❤️
Even if “done” means answering emails from the couch and hoping nobody asks you to stand up.
So while I’m at the cabin making more Seaside Detox and preparing for the Christmas rush, that’s my reminder to you—and to myself:
Take care of yourself in the little moments, too. 🌊🧜♀️
