Kinga grew up in the hilly forested regions of northwest Romania. As a child she spent her weekends in nature participating in orienteering or picking mushrooms, wildflowers and medicinal plants with her parents. Herbal teas were a daily delight at home and in times of illness healing remedies also. She moved to the United States in her early 20's and in 2006 she enrolled at Midwest College of Ori

ental medicine. At the time she was going through health struggles that Western medicine could not identify. She found the answer and cure during her years studying Chinese medicine. Kinga graduated Magna Cum Laude from Midwest College of Oriental Medicine in Chicago in 2010. She is a licensed acupuncturist and board-certified through the NCCAOM. She began her career working at a top Chinese medicine clinic in Chesterton, Indiana. At East Wind Acupuncture she would see 90-110 patient cases in a week. Later she was the co- founder of People's Community Acupuncture in Chicago, a community clinic that served the Lincoln Park area. Before her son was born, her family moved to the northwest suburbs of Chicago. During her career she had the privilege of studying from great Chinese medicine masters like Dr. Richard Teh- Fu Tan OMD, LAc know as Dr Tan, Dr. Jimmy Wei-Yen Chan LAc in California, Dr. Randine Lewis LAc and gynecologist , Michelle Meramour LAc. -the developer of body feedback treatment style. Kinga combines these credentials and Chinese medicine treatment styles with intuition in her individualized treatments. She has experience treating a wide spectrum of bodily imbalances. Her passion lies in treating male and female fertility cases with a great success rate. She has worked with children, adolescence, adults and the elderly.

Endometriosis affects millions of women and can cause chronic pain, fatigue, irregular cycles, and fertility challenges. While conventional treatments often focus on symptom management, Traditional Chinese Medicine takes a more holistic approach.
In Chinese medicine, the reproductive system is deeply connected to the body’s overall physiological balance. One common pattern associated with endometriosis is Kidney Yang deficiency. Yang represents the body’s warmth, energy, and functional activity. When Yang becomes deficient, cold and stagnation can develop within the body, slowing circulation and allowing blood and other vital substances to accumulate over time.
At Bright Shen Acupuncture Clinic, our treatments are tailored individually :
✨ Warming the lower abdomen
✨ Improving blood circulation and reducing stagnation
✨ Supporting Kidney function
✨ Balancing hormones naturally
✨ Promoting overall reproductive wellness
Through acupuncture and customized herbal medicine, we aim to help restore balance, reduce discomfort, and support long-term healing.
We would love to work with you. 🌿

Spring is nature’s reminder that renewal starts from within 🌱✨

In Chinese medicine spring is considered the ideal time to support the liver — the body’s natural detoxifying organ — also this is the season when cleansing plants naturally begin to grow.

One of the most well-known spring herbs is dandelion 🌼
Often dismissed as a w**d, dandelion has long been valued for supporting liver function and digestion. Nature provides exactly what the body may need during seasonal transition.

Fresh greens, bitter herbs, hydration, movement, and time outdoors can all help support the body’s natural cleansing processes this season.

Sometimes the best wellness wisdom is simply aligning with the rhythms of Mother Nature 💚 Call our clinic to heat all the options we offer for a metabolic cleanse.

Proper self-care allows us to heal faster from ailments, boost our immune system, manage stress, enhance our mood and vitality, and maintain overall well-being.
Acupuncture is highly effective in supporting all of the above.

How so? A skilled acupuncturist is like a knowledgeable gardener who can identify where the body needs help to heal. Just as a gardener tends to the soil in many ways to restore lushness and vibrant plant life, an acupuncturist uses fine needles to stimulate the flow of blood and oxygen through the body’s meridians—promoting healing and restoring optimal function throughout the body.

In December, my almost 84-year-old mother had a mini stroke. We are counting our blessings that she can walk again, and she has been recovering day by day.
While I couldn't give her acupuncture treatment in the hospital due to liability reasons, I utilized gentle pressure massage on the affected area of her scalp. The affected area was very tender. As soon as she was home, we started acupuncture treatments for her recovery.
By the end of her first treatment, she told me that her left hand had warmed up, which meant that the acupuncture in her scalp was increasing cerebral blood flow to the damaged areas of the brain.
The following treatments helped improve motor function and mobility in her left arm.
She is continuing to improve during the recovery window, which is six weeks post-stroke.
Here are some evidence-based benefits in stroke recovery:
-Motor Function and Mobility: Studies have found that acupuncture can help improve muscle strength, reduce spasticity (muscle stiffness), and enhance balance and walking ability.
-Speech and Swallowing: It may be beneficial in treating aphasia (difficulty with speech and language) and dysphagia (difficulty swallowing).
-Pain Management: Acupuncture is an established method for pain management and can alleviate post-stroke shoulder or joint pain.
-Cognitive and Emotional Well-being

Acupuncture offers valuable support throughout the IVF process by enhancing both physiological and energetic aspects of reproductive function.
When timed appropriately – beginning one to three months before the IVF cycle and continuing through embryo transfer – acupuncture may improve hormonal regulation, ovarian response, endometrial receptivity, and overall pregnancy outcomes.
