🚨 BREAKING: New Jersey farmers are raising concerns as rapid development, warehouse construction, and rising land prices continue putting pressure on some of the Garden State’s most valuable farmland. 🌾🚜🇺🇸
From South Jersey farmland to the Pine Barrens, and from Hunterdon County to the Delaware Bayshore, local farmers say productive agricultural land is increasingly being surrounded by subdivisions, distribution centers, highways, and expanding commercial development.
Many farming families worry that once productive farmland disappears beneath concrete and pavement, it may never return to agriculture.
One New Jersey farmer stated:
“New Jersey may be small, but we help feed millions of people. When farmland disappears, we lose more than land. We lose local food production, family traditions, wildlife habitat, and a way of life that has defined the Garden State for generations.”
Despite its dense population, New Jersey remains one of America’s most important agricultural states.
