If I stopped having or***ms, I would immediately stop expecting my body to go from:

šŸ“§ Emails
🧺 Laundry
šŸš— Carpool
šŸ’° Bills
šŸ˜µā€šŸ’« Everyone needing something from me

…to feeling desire in 8.7 seconds.

That’s like expecting your crockpot dinner to be ready because you stared at it aggressively.

Your body needs time.

Time to feel safe.
Time to slow down.
Time to shift out of survival mode.

Because pleasure is not a light switch.
It’s a process.

And if your nervous system has been running a marathon all day, your body isn’t ignoring intimacy.

It’s asking for support.

The women having great s*x and or***ms as they age aren’t necessarily luckier.

They’ve learned how to reconnect with themselves.

Your pelvic floor is supposed to be part of a group project.

Turn on when she needs to.
Relax when she doesn’t.
Coordinate with the rest of the damn team.

But when she goes rogue?

You’re p*eing.
You’re pooping.
Your organs are trying to leave the group chat.
Your back hurts.
You’re getting up all night to p*e.
You wouldn’t DREAM of running into Target without a ā€œjust in caseā€ p*e first.
And your org@sms have apparently submitted their resignation.

So what do you do?

Kegels.

Then you buy the exercise program.

Then you find another pelvic floor therapist telling you she has the BEST core exercises to stop leaking.

Girl. STOP IT. šŸ˜‚

You have tried enough.

I know you want to figure this out.

You don’t have to.

I did that part for you.

Because imagine getting in the car and just…leaving.

No just-in-case p*e.

Imagine sneezing without immediately checking your underwear.

Sleeping ALL NIGHT without your bladder screaming your name at 2:13 AM.

Working out without wondering if that squat is about to cost you a pair of leggings.

Picking up your kids without your back screaming.

Having an org@sm that actually shows up for work.

Going on vacation without packing underwear like you’re relocating permanently.

And eventually?

Not thinking about your pelvic floor at all.

THAT is the goal.

Not becoming really freaking good at Kegels.

šŸ”„ Hills I will happily die on as a pelvic floor therapist šŸ”„

(Pack snacks. This hike is steep.)

1ļøāƒ£ Every time you p*e before you leave the house ā€œjust in caseā€ you are training your bladder to be an absolute pain in the arse.

2ļøāƒ£ Drinking less water to leak less urine is like unplugging your smoke detector because you don’t like the sound.

3ļøāƒ£ More Kegels is not the answer to everything or really anything.
If it were, we would’ve solved urinary leakage decades ago.

4ļøāƒ£ Pads are a tool.
They are not treatment.

5ļøāƒ£ ā€œYou’re getting olderā€ is an explanation.
It’s not a treatment plan.

6ļøāƒ£ Urgency, leakage, prolapse, constipation, pain with intimacy, and night waking are not what you just deal with.
They’re clues.

7ļøāƒ£ You cannot out-exercise poor bladder habits.

8ļøāƒ£ Your pelvic floor is part of a system.
If we’re ignoring breathing, pressure management, bowels, hips, glutes, mobility, strength, hormones, hydration, and the nervous system, we’re missing the point. You will not solve your urine leakage without addressing every single one of these consistently.

9ļøāƒ£ Not all pelvic floor therapists are the same.

I know that’s controversial. It’s true. Rehab is not a sheet of exercises.

If you’ve tried pelvic floor therapy and it didn’t help, that doesn’t mean pelvic floor therapy doesn’t work.

Some therapists teach Kegels.

Some therapists teach exercises.

I teach women how to understand and manage the entire system.

šŸ”Ÿ I probably teach differently because I lived it.

I wasn’t the therapist sitting on the sidelines reading about leakage in a textbook.

I was the girl p*eing her pants.

I was the girl dealing with bowel issues.

I was diagnosed with bladder and re**al prolapse by 19.

I know what it feels like to be embarrassed, frustrated, and convinced your body is broken.

1ļøāƒ£1ļøāƒ£ My goal isn’t to help you for six weeks.

My goal is to help the version of you that’s 80 years old, traveling, exercising, sleeping through the night, laughing with friends, being intimate and not planning every outing around the nearest bathroom.

Hills I will die on as a pelvic floor therapist who cares as much about your leaks as I do your or***ms:

Your pelvic floor should be invited to your upper body workout too.

Because I’m not lifting weights just so my shoulders look cute in a tank top. Although, respectfully, I would like that too. šŸ˜‚

I’m training my body to FUNCTION.

When I row, press, pull, carry and stabilize, I’m training my body to:

šŸ’Ŗ Pick up my kids without throwing out my back
šŸ’Ŗ Carry 47 grocery bags because apparently two trips is illegal
šŸ’Ŗ Push, pull and lift heavy things
šŸ’Ŗ Reach overhead without compensating everywhere else
šŸ’Ŗ Keep my ribs stacked over my pelvis under load
šŸ’Ŗ Create pressure WITHOUT holding my breath and bearing down
šŸ’Ŗ Coordinate my deep core and pelvic floor while the rest of my body WORKS

Because your pelvic floor was never meant to sit in the basement doing Kegels by herself.

She is part of the team.

She needs mobility so she can lengthen.

Strength so she can generate force.

Coordination so she knows WHEN to turn on.

And just as importantly…when to turn the hell OFF.

And yes. That matters in the bedroom too.

A pelvic floor that can lengthen, contract, respond to pressure changes and coordinate with your breath supports blood flow, sensation, comfortable pe*******on and or**sm.

We aren’t training to squeeze harder.

We’re training a pelvic floor that knows what the hell it’s doing.

Strong enough for life.
Mobile enough for movement.
Coordinated enough for sneezes, squats, org@sms and everything in between.

For 7 years, I did exactly what I was told.

šŸ’Š Took the medications.
šŸ„ Had the surgery.
šŸ’Ŗ Did Kegels until I was blue in the face.
🚽 Pushed my urine out.
šŸ’§ Drank more water.
šŸ’§ Drank less water.
šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø Wondered if I actually just pooped my pants or if I was imagining it.

Meanwhile, my symptoms kept getting worse.

I was told I was ā€œgetting a head start on womanhood.ā€

What a load of garbage.

My body wasn’t broken.

The problem was that the people I was taking advice from had no idea how to rehab a pelvic floor.

And that’s not a knock on doctors.

I have worked with incredible OBs, urologists, and urogynecologists who looked me straight in the eye and said:

ā€œKass, you need a pelvic floor therapist.ā€

Those are the doctors I love.

The ones who understand that medication doesn’t teach movement.
Surgery doesn’t teach habits.
And neither one teaches you how to use your body.

So when someone tells me they tried pelvic floor therapy and it didn’t work, I can’t speak for what they were taught.

I can only speak for what happens inside my program.

I don’t teach from a textbook.

I teach from clinical experience, thousands of women helped, and from living in the deepest levels of pelvic floor hell myself.

By 19, I had a bladder prolapse, re**al prolapse, pain, urgency, frequency, leakage, and enough frustration to last a lifetime.

Today?

Four kids later.

No dysfunction.

No pads.

No rushing.

No planning my life around bathrooms.

No wondering if my body will betray me.

You won’t find another therapist exactly like me because most therapists haven’t lived what I lived.

I have.

And I built the program I desperately needed when I was 19.

I’m changing the way I move my body from this day forward.

Because for years, I would go through exercises willy-nilly.

Do the reps. Finish the workout. Check the box. Move on with my life.

Not anymore.

Now I’m TRAINING.

I’m training for quality of life.
I’m training for longevity.
I’m training for dry un**es and restful nights.
I’m training to pick s**t up off the floor, carry my kids, walk, balance, stand on one leg and handle the approximately 9,000 physical demands of motherhood.

And that means HOW I move matters.

Can my pelvic floor turn on when I need support AND turn off when I don’t?

Can I breathe through the movement instead of holding my breath?

Can I control my pelvis over one leg?

Are my hips, glutes, deep core, feet and ankles actually working together?

Because these three exercises aren’t just three exercises.

They’re practice for LIFE.

And what I do outside of my workout matters just as much as what I do during it.

I’m not exercising just to say I exercised anymore.

I’m training my body to keep doing the things I love for a really freaking long time.

Dry un**es for life included.

HILLS I WILL DIE ON as a pelvic floor therapist who is so damn tired of seeing this garbage in my DMs:

You do not need another damn squeeze app on your phone.

Your pelvic floor is more than ā€œweak.ā€

It’s not communicating well.
It’s not coordinating well.
And you have probably spent YEARS building habits around one goal:

DO NOT P*E YOUR PANTS.

So you p*e just in case.
You go the second you feel an urge.
You rush.
You clench.
You hold your breath.
You wear the pad because you don’t trust your body.

And eventually your bladder starts acting like a tantrum-throwing toddler who has learned that if it screams loud enough, everybody RUNS.

Then some yay-who tells you the solution is MORE SQUEEZING. ANYONE who says all you need is more exercises, is not practicing pelvic floor rehab. They are living in so imaginative half-assed world of little effort.

For the love.

Where is the conversation about your bladder habits?
Your posture?
Your breathing?
Your hydration and nutrition?
Your muscle tension?
Your nervous system?
Your strength and coordination?

And here’s the part that really pi**es me off:

Women have been trained to assume WE don’t know jack about our own bodies.

So when the advice doesn’t work, you don’t question the advice.

You blame your body.

Absolutely not.

Your body is not broken.
You do not need another squeezy thing on an app.

Pull those big-girl un**es up, pad and all.

We’ve got work to do.

And I’ll teach you how.
