Most people don’t feel different when their blood pressure is high…
but over time, it can quietly lead to heart failure.

Here’s how:

Your left ventricle (the main pumping chamber of your heart) works hard to push blood out to your body. When blood pressure in your vessels is elevated, that pump has to work even harder.

Over time, the muscle thickens → becomes stiff → and less efficient at moving blood. This process is called left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH) — and it’s a major risk factor for heart failure.

It doesn’t happen overnight.
But it does happen silently.

This is where diabetes management gets more advanced.

No carbs were eaten — just protein.
Blood sugar still went up.

Why?

The body can convert protein into glucose (called gluconeogenesis) for energy.
