NYU Langone pediatric dental faculty & residents from across our sites joined programs nationwide at the AAPD Pediatric Oral Health Advocacy Conference in Washington, DC (March 7–10) 🦷
Led by Program Director Daniel Kane and Senior Associate Director Rajesh Adhia, alongside faculty Evelyne Vu-Tien, Shehzad Sajid, and Fatima Khan joined by residents Karim Aboukoura, Ali Mohammed, Robert MacArthur, Esteban Chaidez, Joseph Gasser, Crystal Smith, Heather Bogy, Glizette Arroyo Morales, Aya Kamoona, Jody Chiang, Alisha Patel, Dayna Thai, Min Kim, Christian Summers & Kayla Lane-Illescas.
Together, they advocated for key issues including HRSA Title VII funding, the Ensuring Lasting Smiles Act (ELSA), and strengthening federal dental infrastructure while gaining firsthand experience in the legislative process. NYU Langone proudly supported attendees with networking opportunities, a hosted dinner, and travel assistance.
The conference highlighted the importance of advocacy in advancing pediatric oral health nationwide.
