Kitty Mission

"Miss Halloween". The cat that started Kitty Mission., formerly "Valentine's Crib Notes" I had just moved to Buffalo West Side and saw all the suffering of all these street cats. I called SPCA. Yes she hurt, yes she's hurt ...YES SHES HURT. so they came , asked again as I gingerly loaded the box into their van. I asked, standing with FOUR other cats, friendlies next to me, they had run to the van, starving! "what about these???" They said only the blind, bleeding cat. So...I started to get them fixed n homed. I had no idea you could trap a feral cat. Fix a feral cat. Love a feral cat. And thus rescue began. One, two a night. FOURTEEN a night. All in my little wagon. One trap at a time. Then I got a bigger wagon, 4 traps at a time. 19 yrs later countless cats have been rescued in the WNY area by Kitty Mission. Today is

Happiness is a HOME with cats

10/12/2026

Lately EVERY DAY I get calls "I need to get rid of my cat" they MEAN rehome, but don't put it that way. It's clear they just want an easy out for whatever "reason". When you adopt/ rescue you made a 20+ yr commitment. Cats are family, rehoming is a fancy word for abandonment. I'm sorry you're having issues n don't think keeping the cat (s) will work but I believe in not giving up. Please reconsider. The shelters and rescues are full. People keep dumping their pets. They cannot survive. They rely on you. You are their whole world. Please don't take that away from them. 😭

I get calls DAILY...MULTIPLE CALLS 365 days a year, even death threats, all about cats. Feral cats, semi feral, lost cats, dumped cats, cats DYING... I'm one person. I'm working as much as the availability of appnts there are, the cost, transportation, etc. And it makes me feel like complete GARBAGE when I just can't help. Mostly it's lack of appnts and the feeders refuse to cooperate ( but still complain!) those cats were DUMPED, breeding, abused...by OTHER PEOPLE WHO DO NOT CARE!!! but yet I'm the one that has to feel like THIS. God forgive them, because I cannot. It's not "forgive them for they know not what they do!" When they abuse an animal, THEY KNOW :( and yet it all is laid at my feet, on my heart and tears at my soul n I cry myself to sleep if I even do sleep. While others lay safe and snug in their homes,I'm right outside, breaking my back to rescue even ONE cat! though it's rarely one!!! It's hundreds n hundreds every year!!! What have you done lately to lessen the load of the few of us who gave up our lives to be on this mission???? Because everywhere is feeder breeders, sabotagers, dumpers, careless people. It hurts. You're hurting me but that's fine, just don't hurt THEM!! 🐈 N by doing NOTHING, that's hurting them, it's killing them. If you're not angry, what's wrong with YOU??? 😢 😡 if you want to donate to help PayPal [email protected] and thank you to everyone who helped in ANY way in the past 19 years!!! We appreciate you!!!!
