PALO SANTO BLESSING SPRAY IS BACK
One of my favorite ways to shift the energy of a space without lighting anything.
Our Palo Santo Blessing Spray is a smokeless alternative to traditional Palo Santo burning, made with pure Palo Santo essential oil, witch hazel, and distilled water. Each bottle also comes with a couple of Palo Santo sticks, sustainably harvested from a farm in Ecuador.
Palo Santo, meaning “Holy Wood,” has been traditionally used for centuries in spiritual practices, cleansing rituals, meditation, and ceremony. Its warm, grounding, woodsy aroma is known for creating a sense of peace, clarity, and connection.

Hair + Beard Herbal Oil

One of the most beautiful ancient self-care rituals is hair oiling. For generations, women around the world have practiced the art of massaging nourishing botanical oils into their scalp and hair, believing that consistency, ritual, and deep nourishment are the foundation of healthy, beautiful hair.

Vital Roots was created as a weekly treatment to love your scalp and deeply condition your hair from root to tip.

Massage into the scalp once or twice a week, allowing the botanicals and nourishing oils to support a healthy scalp while softening and conditioning the lengths of your hair.

My formula begins with a slow infusion of:

Horsetail, naturally rich in silica and antioxidants

Rosemary, celebrated for supporting healthy scalp and hair

Fenugreek, traditionally used to condition and nourish hair

Nettles and oatstraw, mineral-rich herbs loved for their strengthening properties

Chamomile, gentle and soothing for the scalp

Infused into a blend of jojoba, castor, and olive oils, then enriched with argan, sea buckthorn, h**p seed oil, and rosemary extract.

Finished with essential oils of rosemary, cypress, geranium, peppermint, and eucalyptus for a fresh, invigorating botanical ritual.

A fresh batch of our beloved herbal all-purpose first aid salve is here.

Salves are one of my favorite forms of herbal medicine. By slowly infusing whole herbs into nourishing oils, we capture the plant’s beneficial properties in a concentrated, skin-loving preparation that can be applied exactly where it’s needed.

Rapid Recovery is made to be the jar you reach for again and again.

For cuts, scrapes, minor burns, bites, bruises, dry and cracked skin, irritated patches, dermatitis, chapped lips, tattoos and everyday skin support. It can be used as an intensive balm for hands and feet, dabbed onto dry areas of the face, or kept in your bag as a little botanical first aid kit.

Inside each jar is a blend of organic herbs traditionally used to support the skin:

St. John’s Wort, known for its soothing and comforting properties

Yarrow, traditionally used to support skin recovery and calm inflammation

Calendula, beloved for soothing sensitive, dry, and irritated skin

Lavender, gentle, calming, and supportive for irritated skin

Plantain, a beautiful herb traditionally used for bites, stings, and minor skin irritations

A little comfrey, rich in compounds traditionally used to support skin renewal

Chamomile, deeply calming and gentle for sensitive skin

I’ve had the honor of collaborating with the incredibly talented Cydney Bender since the end of last year, and every collection she creates is completely one of a kind. I fell in love with this beautiful spring collection the moment I saw it. Her work is so thoughtfully crafted, filled with intricate details and little “Easter eggs” that reveal themselves the longer you admire each piece.

July is a beautiful reminder that nature is in full bloom and there is a season for both growth and surrender.

I’ll be back in the shop starting July 4 for a week or two, restocking many of your favorite remedies and creating fresh summer offerings. You’ll probably see me in and out. The way people find their way into the apothecary has always felt like a little bit of magic to me. Creating a healing space is like opening a portal where the right people seem to arrive exactly when they’re meant to.

After that, I’ll be heading back to Texas to be with my family as we care for my father during his final stage of home hospice.

Thank you for every prayer, kind message, and blessing you’ve shared these past few months. My employees, who are truly my closest friends, tell me about those of you who stop by asking about my dad and our family. It means more than I can express.

Being present for one of life’s most sacred moments has been the greatest gift. Thank you for continuing to support my little herbal apothecary. I can’t wait to see you back in the shop.

Harvested in Carmel Valley under the Strawberry Moon and now hanging in my drying facility, this beautiful collection of organically grown herbs will spend the next several weeks slowly transforming from fresh harvest to apothecary ingredient.

Calendula, lavender, yarrow, and an impressive amount of catnip are carefully dried to preserve their aromatic compounds, volatile oils, and beneficial plant constituents. This ancient preservation practice allows herbs to be stored for a year or longer when properly dried and protected from light, moisture, and heat.

Calendula is rich in carotenoids and flavonoids and is widely valued in herbal skincare. Lavender contains naturally occurring compounds that have been studied for their calming effects on the nervous system. Yarrow has a long history of traditional use and contains a variety of beneficial plant compounds, including flavonoids and tannins. Catnip, a member of the mint family, has traditionally been used to support relaxation and digestive comfort.

What makes this harvest especially meaningful is its connection to place. These herbs were grown just miles from the apothecary in Carmel Valley, harvested at their seasonal peak, and carefully dried by hand. Knowing where our herbs come from, how they were grown, and who cultivated them is an important part of my commitment to quality.

In a few short weeks, these herbs will become fresh tea blends, herbal infusions, tinctures, salves, and botanical preparations at Earth Cura Apothecary.

This is the slow work of herbalism. Local soil. Local farmers. Small-batch production.

We’re now open every day starting Summer Solstice!

I am currently taking a leave of absence to be with my father during his final stage of life. Thank you for your continued love, support, and encouragement during this tender season. Being present with my family has deepened my appreciation for healing, connection, and the preciousness of each moment.

A heartfelt thank you to my two soul sisters, Kelly and Allison, who are lovingly holding down the shop while I’m away. These incredible women are true all-stars in the healing arts and herbal wellness, and I trust them completely to help guide you to the herbs, remedies, and intentions that best support your journey. Their wisdom, compassion, and dedication are such a gift to our community.
