Maybe midlife isn’t just about asking, “What do I want now?” Maybe it’s also about asking, “What do I have to give?”
I recently came across a quote from Tony Robbins that really helped me put words around why I’m choosing to step more fully into this work with women in midlife:
“Success is getting what you want. Fulfillment is giving what you’re meant to give.”
That landed deeply for me.
For more than 30 years, I’ve had the privilege of working with women through yoga, movement, meditation, retreats, creativity, and conversation. And somewhere along the way, especially as I’ve traveled through my own midlife years, I’ve realized that what feels most meaningful to me now is sharing what I’ve learned.
Not because I have midlife all figured out. 😊
But because I’ve lived a lot of life.
I’ve experienced reinvention, loss, caregiving, changing relationships, changing bodies, changing dreams, starting over, letting go, and asking myself more than once, Who am I now…and what do I want this next chapter to look like?
Along the way, I’ve gathered wisdom, practices, tools, and yes…a few special little secrets that have helped me navigate these years with more curiosity, courage, joy, and possibility.
And I want to share them.
But perhaps even more importantly, I want to create spaces where women can share with each other.
Because one thing I know for sure is that women can begin to feel as though we’re living on little islands—quietly navigating our own challenges and wondering if anyone else feels the way we do.
And then we gather.
We talk.
We laugh.
We tell the truth.
And suddenly we realize…
Oh. You too?
Our stories may be different, but so much of what we are experiencing is shared.
That is a big part of my why for becoming a guide for women in midlife.
To bring women together.
To share what I’ve learned.
To help us remember the wisdom we already carry.
And to remind one another that none of us has to navigate this changing season alone.
I have a feeling there is a lot more to come. ❤️
