Following the launch of the Welcome to Eyewearland communication campaign, MIDO takes another step forward in the evolution of its identity, introducing a new element that will define the show in the years to come: the Eyewearland Milano payoff.

This marks a major image evolution after many years and further strengthens MIDO’s positioning as an ecosystem, rather than simply a trade show. Eyewearland Milano captures the idea of a place where business, innovation, creativity, research, manufacturing, distribution and education come together, creating the most comprehensive representation of the entire eyewear supply chain. MIDO is, in fact, the only event in the world that brings together all the key players in the industry: from frame and lens manufacturers to machinery and raw materials; from major multinationals to small, innovative companies; from established and emerging designers to start-ups and accessories.

The latest collection from Lowercase introduces four new styles inspired by streets and neighborhoods that have become part of the city’s identity. Herald, Bowery, and Broadway join the sun collection, while Soho becomes the newest optical frame. Different names, different personalities, but the same unmistakable point of view. Clean silhouettes, and an effortless confidence that feels right at home in New York.

Returning favorites Karina, Ariel, Roseland, and the sun style Hustler also arrive in fresh colorways. Signature Lowercase finishes including Oxblood, Ivory Marble, Goldflake, and Irving Sage remain part of the collection, sitting comfortably alongside the new additions.

Every Lowercase frame is handmade in Brooklyn using premium Japanese and Italian acetate. Rich in color, durable by nature, and polished to reveal its depth, it’s a material chosen to be worn for years, not seasons.

Twenty-six Italian companies will take center stage at IEE Paris | Italian Eyewear Exhibition, an initiative organized by the Italian Trade Agency (ITA) with the support of ANFAO (Italian Optical Goods Manufacturers' Association).

Following the success of its inaugural edition, held last year at the George V in Paris, the event returns on September 24 at Pavillon Cambon, reaffirming its role as a key platform for promoting the Italian eyewear industry and fostering international dialogue while creating new business opportunities for the sector.

IEE Paris will showcase the excellence of Made in Italy eyewear through its unique ability to combine creativity, artisanal tradition and industrial innovation, highlighting the legacy of expertise and quality that has made Italy a global benchmark for the industry.

The Vision Council released its Consumer inSights Q2 2026 report, drawing on responses from more than 12,000 U.S. adults to map current attitudes and purchasing behavior across vision correction, managed vision care, eye exams, prescription eyewear, reading glasses, and non-prescription sunglasses.

This quarter's findings point to a stabilizing market after several quarters of more cautious, budget-conscious spending. Overall eyewear spending remains broadly distributed across price tiers, with consumers spread across value, mid-range, and higher-spend purchases. The under-$100 tier edged down in Q2, while the $200+ tier increased and the $100–$199 segment held comparable to recent quarters.

“What stands out this quarter is how deliberate consumers are being,” said Kris Stevens, Vice President of Research at The Vision Council. “Many aren't skipping new eyewear because they can't afford it — they're stretching what they already have, or don't need a replacement yet.

September no longer represents simply the end of summer. It marks the beginning of a new cycle. New projects, new professional goals, new academic challenges and, increasingly, a renewed focus on personal image. In this context, eyewear has become much more than a functional accessory. It has evolved into a defining style element capable of expressing personality, confidence and individuality.

For the FW26 season, Bulget Occhiali introduces its Back-to-School selection, a collection designed for young adults who move effortlessly between study, work and social life while maintaining a strong sense of style. Inspired by contemporary urban culture, the collection combines sophisticated materials, clean architectural lines and versatile shapes that adapt naturally to different lifestyles. The season's new designs explore the growing demand for frames that deliver both aesthetics and practicality.
