Peptides are short chains of amino acids—the building blocks of proteins. Different peptides have different effects, so they shouldn’t all be treated as the same thing. (genome.gov)

If you’re using a peptide medication under medical supervision, appropriate bloodwork can help your provider understand your starting point and monitor changes during treatment.

🩸 WHY CHECK YOUR LEVELS?

✅ Establish a baseline before treatment.
✅ Monitor specific markers the medication may affect.
✅ Help your provider identify changes and decide whether your treatment needs adjusting.

For example, tesamorelin, a prescription peptide medication, can increase IGF-1—a growth-related hormone—and affect blood sugar. Its prescribing information calls for monitoring these markers. Those monitoring needs don’t automatically apply to every peptide. (fda.gov)

There is no single “peptide blood panel” for everyone. Your provider should choose the tests and timing based on the specific medication, your health history, and your symptoms.
