Dr. Stephen Glaze, DMD, dentistry advocate, public health dentist, and proud Arizona Native.
Dr. Stephen Glaze is an Arizona Native, husband, and father of two boys. He grew up in the West Valley and began his educational journey at Estrella Mountain Community College, where he earned an associate’s degree in biology. He then transitioned to Northern Arizona University, where he earned a B.S. in Biology with a pre-med focus and minor in Chemistry. Dr. Glaze went on to attend the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health (ASDOH) and graduated in 2016.
For eight years, he worked at Mountain Park Health Center, serving the South Phoenix community. Currently, Dr. Glaze practices at River People Health Center, which is a community of care dedicated to the health and well-being of all Native people. The health center is located within the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community.
In addition to providing dental care, Dr. Glaze is a preceptor for dental students from ASDOH and Midwestern University. He is also a professor at Rio Salado College, where he teaches a medical emergencies course to students in the dental hygiene program.
Fun Facts: His favorite snack is popcorn, his favorite drink is black coffee, he is a fan of the Arizona Cardinals and Phoenix Suns, and he likes watching anime and sports.
