AzAGD Member Spotlight ✨
Dr. Stephen Glaze, DMD, dentistry advocate, public health dentist, and proud Arizona Native.

Dr. Stephen Glaze is an Arizona Native, husband, and father of two boys. He grew up in the West Valley and began his educational journey at Estrella Mountain Community College, where he earned an associate’s degree in biology. He then transitioned to Northern Arizona University, where he earned a B.S. in Biology with a pre-med focus and minor in Chemistry. Dr. Glaze went on to attend the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health (ASDOH) and graduated in 2016.
For eight years, he worked at Mountain Park Health Center, serving the South Phoenix community. Currently, Dr. Glaze practices at River People Health Center, which is a community of care dedicated to the health and well-being of all Native people. The health center is located within the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community.
In addition to providing dental care, Dr. Glaze is a preceptor for dental students from ASDOH and Midwestern University. He is also a professor at Rio Salado College, where he teaches a medical emergencies course to students in the dental hygiene program.
Fun Facts: His favorite snack is popcorn, his favorite drink is black coffee, he is a fan of the Arizona Cardinals and Phoenix Suns, and he likes watching anime and sports.

🚨🦷 Emergency Response CE Review

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our recent Emergency Response by the Dental Team course! Participants reviewed essential skills including CPR for adult, child, and infant patients, AED use, choking response, and emergency preparedness in the dental office.

We loved seeing dental teams come together to strengthen their confidence and readiness in handling medical emergencies while prioritizing patient safety 🤍

✨AGD Member spotlight: Jenna Lau, DDS, FAGD ✨

Dr. Jenna Lau grew up in sunny Southern California. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and Cellular Biology from University of California San Diego and Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Detroit Mercy. She then completed a one-year general practice residency from University of Southern California. Following completion of her studies, Dr. Lau and her husband moved to San Diego, where she served the San Diego community by practicing dentistry in both private practice and community health center. She is currently now a full-time faculty at A.T. Still University Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health, where she enjoys mentoring and teaching pre-doctoral dental students in the clinic setting.

Outside of work, Dr. Lau enjoys volunteering with the Arizona AGD, where she can serve the local dental community and continue to strive for improvement in her dental knowledge and skills. Aside from dentistry, she loves to travel and paddle. She is an avid and competitive paddler in dragon boating and outrigger canoeing. If she’s not at work, you’ll probably find her on Tempe Town Lake.

💉🦷 CE Highlight — Student Botox Courses ✨
We’re proud to wrap up our annual season of Botox courses for dental students — an incredible series dedicated to helping future dentists expand their skills and confidence beyond the operatory.
Through lecture and hands-on training, students gained experience in facial anatomy, injection techniques, and safe treatment planning — building a strong foundation for incorporating esthetics and therapeutic care into their future practices.
We’re so proud to support our students and provide opportunities that help set them up for success in their dental careers 🤍👏
