I’m Heather Bradley, PMHNP-BC, founder of Four Pathways Mental Health—a sanctuary for the misunderstood and overlooked. I provide integrative psychiatric care for adults whose mental health concerns don’t fit neatly into one box. If you’ve felt unheard, misdiagnosed, or boxed in by the healthcare system, you’re not alone. Care here is slower and more thoughtful, looking at mental health alongside

physical health, stress, identity, and lived experience to build a plan that fits your real life, not just a checklist. My approach blends thoughtful medication management with lifestyle and holistic support when appropriate. This work is grounded in both clinical training and lived experience, with space for compassion, individuality, and even humor. Healing doesn’t have to be sterile. (Educational content only. Not medical advice. Not a substitute for individualized care.)

One thing I’ve appreciated throughout this process is seeing how many dispensaries genuinely care about education and helping people make informed decisions.

They’re often one of the first places people turn when they have questions, and that role shouldn’t be overlooked.

Here’s to more education, better conversations, and helping people feel a little less like they’re figuring it all out alone.

Details for the webinar are in my bio.

I teased this last weekend and registration is finally open!

Question for you though:
have you ever talked to a healthcare provider about cannabis?

If so, was it actually helpful?

PSA from your friendly psych provider:
if cannabis is involved this weekend, please be smart about it!

And if your entire cannabis education has basically been ”my friend said this one was good,” we should probably talk.

More details on our upcoming cannabis & mental health webinar coming soon.

“Self-Medicating?” “In Your Right Mind?”

One thing I’ve noticed over the past couple of years is how many people are trying to piece together important health conversations entirely on their own.

Googling.
Scrolling Reddit.
Listening to podcasts.
Trying supplements.
Trying to figure out if what they’re experiencing is “normal.”

Not because they want to self-diagnose, but because they often feel dismissed, rushed, or like no one is connecting the dots clearly.

The projects I’ve been creating lately are really centered on that.

Better education.
More honest conversations.
Less shame.
Less confusion.

Very excited to finally start sharing more soon.

A lot of people do not need “more motivation.”
They need care that actually feels helpful.

One of the things I hear most often is how different it feels when appointments become real conversations instead of quick symptom checklists.

Not because treatment is magic, but because people tend to do better when they feel involved in the process, understand the why behind decisions, and have space to be honest about what is or is not working.

This review meant a lot to me, especially from someone who has been navigating mental health care for many years.

Progress matters. But so does the experience of getting there.

Suddenly May makes a LOT more sense.

Please tell me I’m not the only one who never made the connection!

Most people don’t realize magnesium isn’t one thing.

Different forms do very different things in the body, which is why something can “not work” even if you’re taking it consistently.

When the goal is sleep, anxiety, or just helping your system settle, the form matters just as much as the dose.

A lot of supplement frustration comes from that mismatch, not the supplement itself.
Make sure you're taking something that lines up with what your body actually needs.

You don't have to build alone.

We talk a lot about burnout in mental health, but not enough about what protects us from it. The right people around you make all the difference.

These women are brilliant, generous, and genuinely invested in each other's success. What started as networking turned into real sisterhood, and that's some of the best medicine I know.

Before you hit empty, build your circle.

If you ever need a referral or resource, no matter the industry, reach out. I love making those connections.

Grateful for these ladies and the reminder that growth is sweeter when it's shared.

A lot of women try to push through this
Adjusting, tweaking, trying to get ahead of it

You’d think that would fix it

It doesn’t

That’s not an effort problem
It’s something deeper

If you’re still pushing just to function, that’s not baseline.

A lot of people come in with partial improvement.

Some things helped.
Nothing fully clicked.

So they adapt. Push through. Assume this is just how it is.

But when the right pieces are addressed, things shift.

Thinking gets clearer.
Breathing feels easier.
Functioning stops feeling this hard.

If this sounds familiar, there is usually more to look at.
