No ma’am. I can always admit when I’m wrong. Today, I’m 42, and I’ve never felt stronger and more energized.

I’m fueled by plenty of group fitness, sleep, water and a whole lot of fun! Ready to take on the rest of my 40s and beyond! 😘💪🥰

Good times, with my good people. Continuing to invest in my health and fitness, my amazing job, my family and spending time in positive and uplifting environments.

I’m over here wishing you a great ending to the month of August, armed with wide-open eager eyes and kind hearts for the new month around the corner. 🩷

First day of 3rd grade for our Brady boy! He was so ready to head back to school today — to join his friends in class, play soccer at recess and show off his new keychains, braces and kicks.

I remember dropping him off on his first day of kindergarten and being so emotional and nervous, but today, I was nothing but proud — this little kid (our son, not our ONLY son, but our son) is a cool, conversational and smart little guy who always thrives, because he brings good energy to everything he does. Time to slay 3rd grade, while definitely getting at least a few notes home from the teacher for too much talking during class. ❤️📚😘

5 things I never do as a fitness professional, brought to you by (AD). I’ve been a group fitness instructor for 17 years, and I’ve learned how to best take care of myself with trial and error. I’ve got a few hard “nos” in my wellness routine. Here’s what I won’t do ...

1. Skip breakfast, fast, do fad diets or juice cleanses

2. Do extra cardio to make up for indulgences

3. Avoid lifting heavy weights for fear of getting bulky

4. Fall victim to skinny culture or try to shrink myself

5. Treat exercise as a form of punishment or a chore

Instead, I fuel myself properly, use smart supplementation and take up space in both my workouts and life.

As shown in this video, I’m always fueled up by NOW Sports BCAAs in my water bottle during my workouts. I’ve been taking BCAAs or branched-chain amino acids for years, and they can support exercise endurance and recovery too.* When you teach a lot of group fitness classes like I do, you need a little extra help to stay feeling good. And remember, you can use my code ASHLEY for 20 percent off NOWFoods.com through the end of the year.

“Clear eyes, full heart, can’t lose.” I’m not a big pop-culture-quote person, but lately, I feel like this particular phrase from one of my favorite TV series ever “Friday Night Lights” truly fits where I am in life.

As a 42-year-old group fitness instructor, writer and mom, I know my lane, and I know it well. I love hard on the people and things that are good to me and real to me. And even if I sometimes get knocked down, I know my wins are many and plenty — whether they are things I can boast about on social media or whether they stay close to the vest.

I find it important to be a source of realness here on this app, and I want you to know that the perfect creations you see on feeds are merely that — creations. Our lives can be messy and tough, and as long as you keep your eyes clear and your heart full ... my friend, you just can’t lose.

-xoxo, Ashley ❤️

The Pitts do Portland! This was our second family vacation to Maine, and although it was hotter than usual, we had a great time exploring The Pine Tree State. 20 pictures in a carousel just doesn’t cover it, but here are the highlights:

-A day trip via ferry to the sparsely populated Chebeague Island with Dave’s sisters and Brady’s adorable cousins. We had lunch at the Chebeague Island Inn, hitched a truck ride with a local and even did some hermit-crab hunting. Such a special time catching up with our sweet Northeastern-based family.
-A day trip via ferry to popular Peaks Island, complete with a delicious lobster roll lunch at Island Lobster Company and revisiting the beach where Dave proposed to me almost 15 years ago (we call that our Maine-gagement).
-A 2-night outdoor Guster Guster’s On The Ocean Weekend music festival at Thompson's Point, where we had the best family-friendly live-music experience under the stars. We took turns helping Brady see the action on stage, and we sang our hearts out.
-So many delicious meals all over Portland, like DiMillo's On the Water, The Highroller Lobster Co., Solo Italiano and standardbakingco, Bom Dia Cafe | Portland, ME and more. The food in Portland is SOLID!
-Riding the historical and peaceful Narrow Gauge Railway along the Portland coast and learning fun facts about the city’s development, while soaking up scenic views.
-Souvenir shopping all over Old Port, Portland and picking up cute mementos.
-Hanging out at Shipyard Brewing Company and seeing Dave’s childhood bestie.
-Keeping it a low-key, nothing-fancy, good old-quality vacation, before we close out summer in a couple weeks.

We’re so grateful for these little getaways and love creating some core family memories we’ll hold onto for a while. And now, it’s back to real life in Charlotte tomorrow!

Do all things with joy, even the hard things. Because you’re going to have to do them anyway, so you may as well try to find the silver lining. 🩷

Lately, I’ve been having fun, working hard and focusing mostly on group fitness, family, soccer and some friends too.

We’re rolling into the last few weeks of summer, ready to soak up time together, keep it joyful and keep it real.

Recent highlights include-
-Some MLS All-Star events in Charlotte with friends
-An awesome group fitness mash-up event at Life Time
-A fun neighborhood progressive dinner party
-A park play date, a kids birthday party and a visit to Charlotte’s new slime museum too
