School is out for summer, and we’re trying our best to have all the fun!

-Brady finished 2nd grade and started a new soccer league.
-I’ve been teaching a million classes and had the best time at a special Pilates & Prosecco event at .charlottenc this weekend as well as a special family workout (see my last reel for a proud moment).
-We’ve been hitting up the pool a few times a week, always in the late afternoon and evening hours - the best time!
-We went to a family kickball birthday party and let our competitive spirits run free - highly recommend.
-We’re planning a couple short getaways this summer, otherwise we’ll be soaking up the sun, heat and life in South Charlotte.

Here’s to a great summer, friend! Hope you get to live it up a little and also take a quality group fitness class. ☀️💪😘

Definitely won’t be forgetting this any time soon. What an honor, privilege and pure joy to have my little man join me on stage in front of 50+ people to teach a Family Workout class at .charlottenc. Start ‘em young! ❤️💪👏

What’s in my daily stack as a group fitness instructor? Let me show you my list, brought to you by one of my favorite wellness brands, . .

1. Collagen in my oat-milk latte at home every single morning to support healthy joints, bones and skin.*

2. Plant-based protein in my post-workout shake to help me reach my daily protein goal of about 145 grams a day.

3. Micronized creatine monohydrate in my post-workout shake to promote the growth of lean mass and promote optimal performance.*

4. BCAAs in my water cup during my classes and workouts to support muscle retention and recovery.*

I’ve been taking this line-up for a couple years, and the combination helps fuel my active job to keep me feeling good and moving well. I often add in electrolytes here and there too.

By the way, you can use my code ASHLEY for 20 percent off at NOWFOODS.com through the rest of the year.

The thing is, you can focus on what’s going well or what’s not going well. And 9 times out of 10, the more energy you put into the good, the more the good flows. It’s not silly, it works.

Some good things I’m loving right now?
-the most fulfilling times teaching 9-10 classes a week at .charlottenc
-renting my clothes from and opening up a new package of stuff each month (it means less spending and less waste)
-soaking up more time outside with my three boys
-fun, late nights with friends, mixed in with many routine early nights at home
-watching life fly by, but knowing I’m making the most of it in my own unique way, surrounded by some good peeps

Here’s to focusing on the good. ❤️

And that’s a big paycheck. ❤️

Take this as your sign to book your next group fitness class, friend!

20 pictures isn’t enough to cover the fun I’ve had around my Charlotte bubble lately. ❤️

Something I think I do really well is fit in the memory-making-off-routine-good-stuff that falls outside of my work, early bedtimes and teaching schedule. And that’s something I hope to keep on doing for many years!

Recent highlights include a country concert at , a fabulous self-care service at , a long friends dinner at , a lively Kentucky Derby party hosted by , an amazing pool-party extravaganza hosted by , a winning game, all the classes at .charlottenc as well as a weekly workout with my buddy and lots of time with my number-one sweet bestie Brady and more!

Here’s to making memories and continuing to veer off routine.

But I do love a good pre-class shake out!

I’ve actually never been a fan of horror movies - especially with the above topics. I’d love to know ... what’s something on your horror-movie list?

-xoxo, Coach Ashley ❤️

Motherhood … I’ve always been the most independent human who does her own thing, so I’m as shocked as anybody that being with and being needed by my boys is completely my favorite thing in life, hands down. 💕

I had the best of days with the best of people today. I felt showered with love by Dave, Brady (and Roo) and my own amazing mom, as we celebrated Mother’s Day together (shout out to the delicious brunch, BTW).

Here’s the thing: We don’t have perfect lives, but we have each other, and that’s literally all we need. As life throws us little curveballs here and there, we always come back to each other and what matters most. And that’s something I hope and know we’ll always do.

I had a rough journey to get to motherhood, and I’m eternally grateful for what I have today. I’m sending all the love to the mommas, future mommas and anyone else holding out for something — keep the faith, friend.

Happy Mother’s Day to you and yours!

Today, I was honored to volunteer my time to support the Watch Love Grow A Mother’s Love project, where we made gift baskets to be delivered tomorrow to 700 women across Charlotte who have lost babies and children.

While a woman who loses a husband is a widow, and a child who loses a parent is an orphan, there is no name for a mother who loses one of her own — Mother’s Day is especially hard for those mothers, and I get it. Loss has touched my life profoundly in the last several years — as I had 3 miscarriages, 3 years in a row, all after Brady was born. While my losses are small compared to many, I carry “what could have been” with me everyday, and there’s always a mixture of grief and joy.

Thank you to for introducing me to the organization and inviting me to volunteer today.

Together, we shed tears and stories, and we helped create a little bit of joy for mothers who really need it this weekend during Mother’s Day. 💕
