Hop in, we’re going to therapy! 🚘 you are the expert of your own life, and I’m here to help you orient to your context (societal norms, culture, your environment & relationships). Once we orient to the present realities, we access agency to choose where we want to go. This is how I explore and explain my role when introducing new clients to my approach as a neuroqueer therapist. Healing is multiplied in community. Healing requires relationships. I can hardly explain how deeply we need one another. That’s why I build and facilitate group spaces - so we can show one another the way. 🌈🌧️💕🍄‍🟫💫 follow Dani Sullivan, Psychedelic Therapist 💖LGBTQIA+ Services & Groups for more

Does grief feel everywhere? Does loss seem to touch all that you love? Grief is mycelial. It is a web- a network of connections. Like fungi, grief likes to interact with all living things. That’s cause death is a guarantee for all of us. What if this network of grief could be gently tended, held in good company? What happens when we bring loving attention to our losses? What else happens besides their decay? Let’s be with the mysteries of grief together. Join us to explore the web of grief connecting us to one another 💖

Have you stopped to consider the impact of undigested grief on your life? If so, you might be the perfect fit for shaping grief. 🍭🍬We all desperately need to explore and process (in affirming spaces and values- aligned ways) the loss we witness, endure and accumulate over time. Western culture has forgotten the practices that help us be with MORE of life (including death). If you are wanting to feel and experience more of life, you may need to grow your competence with and capacity for grief. If that sounds like an exciting invitation, please check out the information at intentionstherapy.com/grief to learn more about my upcoming grief integration group for helping professionals, care workers, teachers and artists. Your grief - however complex - and your loss - regardless of who/what you grieve - are welcome here. Let’s integrate & be informed by these losses. Our work and our world will be better for it. Tend to your complex and wild grief in affirming community with other therapists, helping professionals, educators and culture shapers✨

🌧️This shaping grief group experience intends to honor unacknowledged and complicated loss. So many who offer care are navigating grief that is ancestral, systemic, embodied, and ongoing.

🌧️This group is grounded in a decolonized approach to grief tending — naming the ways we’ve pathologized natural expressions of grief, and reclaiming practices that affirm our ancestry, values and lived experience.

🌧️8 sessions. Community, ritual, embodied practice, and connection. Shape your own grief tending practice so you can show up full-heartedly in your work.

In the wake of loss, while earthside we gotta find awe and wonder. It is the juice that generates capacity for us to expand into grief work. May we, the heartbroken, open our senses to take in the world. May we find awe. May we find wonder. May this awe fuel us in dark moments - keep our compass pointing north. May this grief grow our hearts capacity to love. May we remember how in-alone we are.

🌀This week, ecological grief has been on the hearts and minds of many. Climate grief: mourning for the earth, the loss of habitat and entire ecosystems of biodiversity wiped out…Hope feels slippery in these times. I notice wayyyy more heartache than hope. Here’s how I think they’re connected:

💧This grief is meant to break our hearts open. Witnessing destruction like this is meant to move us. The heartbreak is meant to shape our actions to build a more just world.

💧But because we have so little capacity to be with our grief — because we are so inundated with information and catastrophe, all the time — there is very little space to actually feel it. And there hasn’t been much cultural competence around tending this type of loss.
That’s part of why I’m running the Shaping Grief Integration Group for carers.

But first, 3 things you can do right now to tend your climate grief: 🌧️❄️🌊🌎💧🐳

🍀Start by naming it. Call what’s happening in your heart climate grief. Speak about the grief you feel for this planet. Let yourself feel the resonance in your throat. (If you can express your grief while in nature, it’s benefit is amplified).

🍀Find voices that hold both grief and hope. Dr. Jane Goodall’s final words on Netflix were incredible— if you haven’t watched, go check it out! Her book “The Book of Hope” speaks specifically to the resilience of nature in the face of mass destruction, and offers specifics ways to maintain a diligent practice of hope (including finding joy and awe in every day!)

🍀Find community. Grief shared is grief metabolized. Connect to local mutual aid networks. Ask for help and give what you can.

🌦️If you’re looking for community to feel together — that’s exactly what Shaping Grief is for. Intentional time to process and integrate losses that may otherwise go unspoken or undigested. I know the reality of compassion fatigue in care work - especially when we are operating within systems that encourage us to perform a “well provider:sick patient” paradigm. Here, we will challenge the idea that there is a “right” way to grieve or a hierarchy when
