When people hear “core workout,” they usually picture endless planks or crunches.
But your core actually has two primary roles:
🛡️ Stability: Your core resists unwanted movement so you can lift, run, jump, throw, and move efficiently. Exercises like carries, planks, and anti-rotation presses teach your trunk to create a strong foundation.
🔄 Movement: Your core also creates movement. Rotating, flexing, extending, and controlling your spine are all normal, healthy functions. Exercises like rotational medicine ball throws, cable chops, hanging leg raises, and controlled sit-ups help develop these qualities.
Neither category is “better.”
The best program includes both stability and movement, because life and sport demand both.
At Form + Function, we don’t just chase sore abs—we train your core to do what it’s designed to do.
💪 Build a core that’s strong, resilient, and ready for whatever life throws at it.
