The MSJ community mourns the death of a Cincinnati health champion, Liz Bonis, after an extended battle against colon cancer.

MSJ faculty member Robert Bc Charles-Liscombe and students Lauren Boland and Michael Radcliff were interviewed by Liz in 2022 to highlight the importance of physical activity and strengthening for longevity. She put us all at ease as the students demonstrated exercises and answered her questions.

She was a committed advocate for the Mount, for health in our community, and for the needs of individuals. Prayers for the LOCAL 12, WKRC-TV community and those who mourn her absence.

Today is the Feast of St. Joseph - Founders Day for the Mount St. Joseph University - Exercise Science and Integrative Health program and the University as a whole. We celebrate our patron saint, husband to Mary, foster father to Jesus, and a model of humility, obedience, and guardianship. We honor the work of the Sisters of Charity of Cincinnati in the development of their sponsored ministries and their commitment to serve Cincinnati.

Please consider donating to the School of Health Sciences and designate your gift to the Department of ESIH. Gifts will be designated to improve our Exercise Science lab and the professional development funds for our EIM Club members.
