⚾🥎 WHY THE OFF-SEASON MATTERS FOR YOUR BASEBALL OR SOFTBALL ATHLETE
As a parent, you’re investing time, money, and energy into helping your athlete improve. You want to see that investment translate to the field.
But here’s something important to understand: becoming a better baseball or softball player isn’t just about getting more at-bats, throwing more pitches, or playing more games.
Athletes also need to develop the physical qualities that support their sport-specific skills.
Here’s where off-season strength and conditioning comes in. 👇
💪 STRENGTH: Develop a stronger physical foundation to produce and control force.
⚡ SPEED: Improve acceleration and the ability to move quickly when opportunities arise on the field.
🔥 POWER: Train the ability to produce force rapidly — an important physical quality in explosive movements like sprinting, jumping, and rotational actions.
🎯 MOVEMENT & CONTROL: Develop coordination, deceleration, balance, and the ability to control the body during dynamic movements.
🛡️ PREPARATION: Gradually build physical capacity to help meet the demands of a long competitive season. While no program can eliminate injuries, smart training and appropriate workload management are important parts of athlete development.
At Bullett Performance Training, we believe in developing the athlete behind the player. Strength and conditioning should complement sport-specific practice, helping athletes build a foundation they can carry onto the field.
