The 3 movements every adult over 40 should be able to do without a second thought 👇 (and the everyday moments they protect)
1️⃣ Carry something heavy across the room.
Groceries, luggage, the laundry basket, a grandkid. Coaches call it a loaded carry — real-world strength you use literally every day.
2️⃣ Stand up from a seated position — without your hands.
Off the couch, out of a low chair, up off the floor. The humble sit-to-stand quietly predicts how independent you stay for decades.
3️⃣ Pick something up off the floor.
A dropped bag, a toddler, a 40-lb sack of dog food. Done with a strong hip hinge, it’s the difference between “I’ve got it” and a wrecked back.
Notice none of these are about how you look. They’re about staying strong enough to do the things you love — at 50, 60, 70 and beyond — without thinking twice.
