Your ribs have muscles too. 👀
The intercostal muscles sit between the ribs and play an important role in breathing and helping the rib cage move.
When these muscles become irritated, overworked, or restricted, even something as simple as taking a deep breath, rotating, reaching, or training can feel uncomfortable.
When appropriate, targeted hands-on work can be one piece of helping restore comfortable movement through the rib cage and surrounding tissues—because sometimes the area that needs attention isn’t your back or shoulder…it’s what’s in between. 🙌
