We had the honor of attending a citizenship ceremony to support Ko Koh as she officially became a United States citizen. 🎉

This milestone has been the result of a long journey filled with dedication, perseverance, and hard work. Seeing her take the Oath of Allegiance and celebrate this achievement was truly a special moment for everyone involved.

We are so proud of her and grateful to have been part of this important day. Please join us in congratulating her on becoming a U.S. citizen! ❤️🤍💙

💙 May is National Blood Pressure Awareness Month 💙

High blood pressure (hypertension) often has no obvious symptoms—but it can have a serious impact on long-term health if left unmanaged. The good news is that small, consistent habits can make a big difference.

Here are a few simple ways to support healthy blood pressure:
• Check your blood pressure regularly
• Stay physically active (even daily walks help)
• Choose more fruits, vegetables, and whole foods
• Reduce sodium and highly processed foods
• Manage stress in ways that work for you
• Take medications as prescribed by your provider

At Common Roots, we support overall wellness and encourage everyone to take time this month to check in on their heart health. ❤️

If you haven’t had your blood pressure checked recently, consider scheduling a quick screening—it’s one of the easiest ways to stay ahead of potential health concerns.

Michelle set a big goal for herself and made it happen! 🌴🚢 After working hard and saving up, she is officially cruising to the Bahamas with her HHP, Heather — and having an absolute blast along the way!

We are so proud of Michelle for her dedication, planning, and independence in reaching this goal. Experiences like these are what it’s all about: building memories, confidence, and enjoying life to the fullest. 💙

Have a great time, Michelle and Heather! 🌴

Congratulations to Steve on his retirement from PDI and after 18 years of working at Fort Carson! 🎉

We have been honored to provide supported employment services alongside Steve throughout his journey. His dedication, commitment, and positive spirit have made a lasting impact on so many people.

To make his final day even more special, Fort Carson arranged for Steve to drive the train engine — a perfect sendoff for someone who has always loved trains! 🚂

Congratulations, Steve! We wish you all the best in this exciting new chapter of retirement.

Medicaid home and community-based services (HCBS) make life possible for Kaycee and millions of people with disabilities. HCBS help cover daily support, personal care, and the services people need to lead healthy lives where they choose.

After the biggest Medicaid cuts in history last year, many states are already struggling to make up for lost funding. That could mean longer waiting lists, fewer services, and more barriers for people who depend on support every day. Now, Congress is considering even more cuts.

Take action today to protect Medicaid HCBS using the link in the comments.

Craig and Sharon each enjoyed a relaxing evening at home with their Host Home Providers. They had a blast with karaoke, singing favorite songs, playing guitars, laughing, and unwinding after the day.
