A huge THANK YOU to Walmart Neighborhood Market Colorado Springs - S Academy Blvd for awarding Special Kids Special Families a $1,000 Spark Good Local Grant in support of our Zach’s Place program! This generous funding helps us continue providing inclusive childcare, respite care, and specialized support for children with disabilities and special needs, while offering peace of mind and resources for their families.

June is National Reunification Month — a time to recognize the importance of helping children safely reunite with their families whenever possible.

For the third year in a row, the Turner Construction Company - Denver Business Unit visited our adult clients for a day full of hard work in the garden and an ice cream social! This year, the team made major improvements to the garden space by upgrading flooring and building three new wheelchair-accessible garden features. These additions include a brand-new raised garden bed where clients can dig, plant, and water more comfortably than ever, along with two sensory garden units filled with touch-friendly and scent-friendly plants for ALL clients to enjoy and explore.

The day was filled with celebration, gratitude, and laughter as old friends reunited, and new friendships were formed. We are so thankful for our friends at Turner Construction and their continued commitment to creating inclusive spaces and meaningful connections in our community!

There are still limited sponsorship opportunities available - PLUS - we are also seeking silent auction donations, which include:
