At Breathing and Sleep Center of Colorado Springs, we diagnose and treat breathing and sleep disorders caused by airway restriction due to underdeveloped jaws. Our team of trained, experienced dentists offer non-surgical treatments that allow our patients to restore and regain their sleep and quality of life. We begin by identifying the underlying cause(s) of your breathing and sleep-related issue

s and then outline your treatment plan. All patients’ needs vary, which is why we customize each treatment plan to fit your specific diagnosis. Our first step is to have you visit our center and attend one of our Patient Education Meetings to learn more about your options.

🦷 What does your jaw have to do with your sleep? More than you might think.

The structure and position of your jaw, tongue, and airway can all influence how easily you breathe while you sleep.

That's one reason signs of a sleep or breathing problem aren't always found in the bedroom. Clues such as teeth grinding, jaw discomfort, certain bite concerns, or changes within the mouth can sometimes be part of a much bigger picture.

At Breathing and Sleep Center, we take a comprehensive approach—looking at the relationships between airway, breathing, sleep, and oral structures to better understand what's contributing to a patient's symptoms.

Because sometimes the key to better sleep starts with looking beyond sleep itself. 💜

💜 Reviews like this mean so much to our team.

At Breathing and Sleep Center, we know that finding answers can sometimes be a journey—especially when sleep, breathing, airway health, and jaw function are all part of the picture.

We're grateful Cathey trusted Dr. Williams and our team with her care and that she's gaining a better understanding of how these pieces can work together.

Thank you, Cathey, for sharing your experience and for the wonderful 5-star review! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Helping our patients find answers, understand their health, and receive care tailored to their individual needs is exactly why we do what we do.

🥱 That 2 PM crash might not be "just part of the day."

If you're reaching for another cup of coffee just to make it through the afternoon, your body may be telling you that the sleep you're getting at night isn't as restorative as it should be.

Sleep apnea and other sleep disorders can repeatedly disrupt your sleep—even when you don't remember waking up—leaving you dealing with:

☕ Constantly needing caffeine
🧠 Brain fog or trouble concentrating
🥱 Daytime sleepiness
⚡ Low energy
😴 Feeling tired even after a full night's sleep

Don't just count the hours you're in bed. Pay attention to how you feel when you're awake.

At Breathing and Sleep Center, we're here to help you find out what's keeping you from getting truly restorative sleep.

Waking up with a headache? Your sleep could be part of the problem.

An occasional morning headache happens. But if you're regularly starting your day with a headache—especially alongside loud snoring, dry mouth, daytime fatigue, or waking throughout the night—it may be worth paying attention to your sleep.

Sleep-disordered breathing, including sleep apnea, can disrupt your breathing and oxygen levels throughout the night, leaving you feeling anything but refreshed in the morning.

You shouldn't have to start every day feeling like you barely slept.

💜 At Breathing and Sleep Center, we help uncover what's happening while you sleep so you can get back to feeling like yourself during the day. 719-203-4898

👃 Does your child regularly breathe through their mouth?

It may seem like a harmless habit, but how your child breathes—especially while sleeping—can tell you a lot about their airway and sleep health.

In our latest blog, we take a closer look at mouth breathing vs. nose breathing in kids, why nasal breathing matters, and when persistent mouth breathing may be a sign that something more is going on.

With kids heading back to school, it's a great time to pay attention to the little things that can affect sleep, focus, behavior, and overall well-being.

💜 Know the signs. Ask the questions. Help your child breathe—and sleep—better.

💜 Sharing knowledge. Building connections. Advancing better sleep and breathing health.

Yesterday, Breathing and Sleep Center’s Dr. Kevin Goles and Dr. Jeremy Williams had the opportunity to present at UCCS, sharing their expertise with a group of professionals and discussing the important role that sleep, breathing, and airway health play in overall wellness.

Opportunities like these are an important part of our mission at Breathing and Sleep Center. By sharing knowledge and collaborating with others in our community, we can help build greater awareness of sleep and breathing disorders—and the impact they can have on health and quality of life.

A special thank you to UCCS for the invitation and warm welcome! We appreciate the opportunity to connect, educate, and be part of the conversation surrounding better health in our community.

📱💤 One more scroll... can wait until tomorrow.

As the school year approaches, now is the perfect time to help kids and teens reset healthy bedtime habits.

The blue light from phones, tablets, and other devices can make it harder to fall asleep, while late-night scrolling often delays the restful sleep growing minds need.

A few simple changes can make a big difference:
📵 Put screens away 30–60 minutes before bed.
⏰ Keep a consistent bedtime—even on weekends.
🌙 Create a calm, screen-free bedtime routine.

Healthy sleep isn't just about feeling rested. It supports learning, memory, mood, and overall well-being.

📚 School supplies? ✔️ New backpack? ✔️ Healthy sleep?

Before the first bell rings, take a moment to think about how your child is sleeping.

Signs like:
😴 Snoring
👃 Mouth breathing
💤 Restless sleep
😫 Morning fatigue
🎯 Trouble focusing

may point to an underlying sleep or breathing disorder that can affect learning, behavior, and overall health.

This school year, give your child the best chance to thrive—starting with better sleep.
