Happy Anniversary to Rachel! Our program would not be what it is without her dedication and leadership. We are so grateful for all of her hard work and commitment to Adult Literacy Ohio.

Today, we’re proud to celebrate Rachel Heiber on her fifth anniversary as the Program Manager of Adult Literacy Ohio!

Rachel makes a meaningful difference through the way she shows up for our communities. Her dedication to people with developmental disabilities and their families is reflected in the care she brings to her work and the support she offers every day.

We’re grateful for all Rachel does to help create opportunities for connection, growth, and belonging. Please join us in congratulating her and celebrating this special milestone!

“To me, autism means that I learn differently than other people, but I can still succeed in my dreams.”

This powerful reflection, written by one of our adult learners for ElevateDD's blog, reminds us that understanding doesn’t come from assumptions or labels. It comes from lived experience. From listening. From creating space for people to share their stories in their own words.

Thank you, Abriana, for sharing your voice and perspective! And thank you to Jessica Bennett, who provides tutoring support through our Adult Literacy Ohio program and worked alongside Abriana to make writing this blog post a meaningful goal in her learning journey.
