Over the past year, Troy has helped advance ElevateDD’s work across Ohio while keeping a strong focus on our mission of creating greater opportunities for people with developmental disabilities and their families. His leadership has helped move important conversations forward and strengthen our vision for authentic inclusion.

We’re grateful for the perspective and care Troy brings to this work each day. We’re excited to see what the next year holds!

We’re excited to share the (rescheduled!) date for the next installment in our ConnecteDD webinar series! Join us on Tuesday, September 8, at 4:30 PM for “Supporting Dignity, Safety, and Inclusion: Diapering and Toileting Guidance for Ohio Schools.”

Students with diapering and toileting support needs have the right to access school with dignity, safety, and appropriate support. This webinar will walk families, educators, school leaders, and support professionals through Ohio’s multi-agency guidance on diapering and toileting hygiene in schools.

The session will focus on what the guidance means in practice, how schools and families can work together, and how Routine Personal Care Plans can support student independence, privacy, health, and inclusion. Participants will leave with a clearer understanding of best practices, common planning questions, and practical ways to support children across early childhood, elementary, middle, and high school settings.

Fall Semester: September 19, 2026 – January 15, 2027

Families can interview tutors in our program or recruit their own trusted candidate.

In 2025, Learning Aid Ohio provided supplemental educational support to 2,116 learners and more than 31,000 hours of one-on-one tutoring across 64 Ohio counties.

Meet Jessicah!

Jessicah loves being part of Learning Aid Ohio because it allows her to help learners build confidence and find joy in reading. Using the Orton-Gillingham approach, she provides structured, individualized instruction that meets learners where they are and helps struggling readers succeed.

With more than 20 years of experience and certification through the Orton-Gillingham Academy, Jessicah provides multisensory instruction that helps learners build foundational skills, confidence, and a stronger path to success.
