Coltrane LIFE Center

Coltrane LIFE Center's services benefit older adults, adults with disabilities, & their family caregivers. The Center provides daytime health care services, safety, & supervision to participants as an alternative to assisted living or nursing home placement. By utilizing the Center's services, family members experience reduced stress knowing that their loved one is taken care of in a safe, secure

place with trained staff members. This gives them respite, or a break from caregiving, & enables them to work or take care of other needs during the day. Services include:
- Health monitoring by nursing staff
- Nutritious breakfast, lunch, & afternoon snack (special diets accommodated)
- Activities: music, games, crafts, exercise, field trips, & social interaction with friends
- Personal care such as bathing, bathroom assistance, & nail care
- Beauty & barber shop services
- Specialized care for those with dementia or other special needs
- Transportation to/from the Center & for doctor’s appointments
- Monthly C.A.R.E. (Concerned Adults Responsible for the Elderly) meetings for family members to receive support, encouragement, & education about various caregiving topics
