Birth workers, this training is for you! 🤎

Abide Women’s Health Services, in collaboration with the Shaken Baby Alliance, invites doulas, midwives, childbirth educators, community health workers, and other birth professionals to our Fall TBI Train the Trainer Workshop.

Birth workers are often among the first trusted sources of education and support for growing families. This training will equip participants with knowledge and tools to help raise awareness about pediatric traumatic brain injury (TBI), shaken baby syndrome, and prevention—information that can make a lasting difference for the families and communities we serve.

📅 Saturday, October 17, 2026
⏰ 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
📍 Abide Women’s Health Services
2612 MLK Jr. Blvd., Dallas, TX 75215

✨ Registration is only $50 per student
🥗 Light lunch included
📚 CEUs available
🎟️ Limited seating

This is an opportunity to strengthen your knowledge, expand the education you provide to families, and become better equipped to help prevent pediatric traumatic brain injuries in your community.

Applications are now open for Abide Women’s Health Services’ 2026 Claudia Booker Black Student Midwife Scholarship. 🤎

Black midwives have always been an essential part of the story of birth, community care, and maternal health. Yet Black student midwives continue to face barriers as they pursue the education, training, and experience required to enter the profession.

The Claudia Booker Black Student Midwife Scholarship exists to help change that.

Through this scholarship, Abide is investing in the next generation of Black midwives and in a future where more Black families have access to care from providers who see them, hear them, respect them, and understand their communities.

Who can apply?
Applicants must:
• Identify as Black
• Be a current Texas resident
• Be a current Certified Professional Midwifery student in good standing
• Intend to become licensed and practice as a midwife in the state of Texas following graduation and licensure

If you are a Black student midwife preparing to serve families through compassionate, culturally relevant midwifery care, we encourage you to apply.

📅 Application Deadline: September 8, 2026 (Link to apply in our bio)

Know a student midwife who may qualify? Share this opportunity with them and help us reach the next generation of Black midwives.

Care doesn't happen in one visit.

It is months of prenatal appointments, education, trust-building, birth support, and postpartum care. From eight weeks pregnant through six weeks postpartum, Abide continues showing up so families feel seen, supported, and cared for throughout the full journey.

AngelCare Village helps sustain that consistent, relationship-based care through monthly giving starting at $39. Join by August 21 and maintain your membership for 12 consecutive months to be recognized as a Founding Member.

The village behind the care begins with people who are willing to show up. Abide volunteers strengthen our work behind the scenes through administrative support, event preparation, community outreach, organizing supplies, and other essential tasks that help our team serve families well.

Their time, care, and commitment help create the foundation that makes Abide’s work possible. We are deeply grateful for every volunteer who chooses to stand with our mission. 💛

Ready to become part of the village? Visit abidewomen.org to learn more about volunteering with us.
