Have you experienced pregnancy-related complications?

Researchers at the University of Texas at Arlington and UTHealth Houston are seeking participants for a study exploring the experiences of Black women in Texas who have experienced mild or severe pregnancy-related complications.

Your voice can help researchers better understand the clinical, social, and environmental factors that impact maternal health and contribute to improving outcomes for future families.

You may be eligible if you:
✔ Are 18–50 years old
✔ Identify as a non-Hispanic Black woman who speaks English
✔ Live in Texas
✔ Experienced a mild or severe pregnancy-related complication within the last 10 years

Stronger educators. Safer families. Healthier communities.

The Train the Trainer Workshop is a specialized training designed to equip birthworkers, community health workers, and healthcare professionals with the tools to educate families on critical topics related to infant safety and well-being.

Through this session, participants will gain practical strategies for preventing pediatric traumatic brain injuries and learn how to effectively communicate with caregivers during high-stress moments.

This training is part of Abide Women’s Health Services’ commitment to strengthening community-based care and improving maternal and infant health outcomes in collaboration with Shaken Baby Alliance and the Toyota Way Forward Fund.
