Is a laser just a fancy red light?

It's one of the questions Dr. Amy hears most, so he answered it live.

His way of explaining it: an LED red light panel is like a hose on the sprinkler setting. It covers a broad surface. A laser is the same hose on the jet setting. The light is focused, so he can place it on a specific area like a nerve, a muscle or a joint.

And he isn't against red light. In his words, using the two in combination is awesome.

Just got your True Laser, or thinking about one? These six tips come straight from Dr. Amy's answers in his live Q&As.

1. It ships fully charged and checked
2. Use it down to about one bar, then charge
3. Wipe it clean and start on a dry surface
4. Set the electrical stim to your comfort, starting at one bar
5. Short on time? A couple of minutes still counts
6. Keep the laser away from your eyes and use the included glasses near your face

For each protocol, follow the Treatment Protocol Manual and training videos that come with your device. If you have a health condition, check with your healthcare provider first.
