The other day, I was getting my car serviced. The manager took exceptional care of me throughout the entire process. As I was checking out, he asked what I did for a living.
When I told him I was a hypnotherapist, he paused and then asked a question that caught my attention: “How do you support men in your business?” It’s a question I don’t get asked often, but I’m glad he did.
The truth is, I work with many men. Men who are carrying the weight of responsibility. Men who have spent years believing they have to be strong for everyone else. Men who are exhausted from holding everything together. Men who struggle with shame, guilt, fear of failure, fear of abandonment, or the belief that their worth is tied only to what they provide.
Many men were never taught how to process their emotions. They were taught how to suppress them. And eventually, what is pushed down finds another way to surface—through stress, anxiety, anger, disconnection, unhealthy habits, relationship challenges, or simply feeling stuck.
My role isn’t to “fix” anyone. It’s to create a safe space where they can release what they’ve been carrying, reconnect with themselves, and remember who they are beneath the pressure, expectations, and old stories.
One of the greatest privileges of my work is witnessing a man realize that vulnerability is not weakness. It is courage.
Healing isn’t masculine or feminine. It’s human. And every person deserves support on that journey.
To the men doing the work, even when no one sees it: I see you. I’m here for you. 💙
