Oconomowoc and Lake County friends, join me on Tuesday, September 22nd at 6:30-7:30pm for a Christ-centered Mindful Movement and Meditation class that is open for anyone to attend as free-will donation.

An opportunity to press pause. Breathe, move and stretch while focusing our hearts on being in His presence.

Are you or someone you love navigating a cancer journey? You don’t have to walk through it alone.

I’m Katie Nied, Wellness Program Coordinator for Project Connect, a free wellness program at Tricia’s Troops Cancer Connection. Our mission is to support cancer fighters, survivors, and thrivers in mind, body, and spirit through connection, movement, mindfulness, support, and faith.

This fall, we’re excited to offer Rooted & Rising, a 6-week devotional support group beginning October 5th.

📖 We’ll be using Rooted & Rising, a devotional by local author Jennifer Abrahamson, as we explore what it means to stay rooted in God while navigating life’s difficult seasons. Each week will include Scripture, reflection, meaningful conversation, and an opportunity to connect with others who understand the journey.

✨ Rooted & Rising Devotional Support Group
📅 Begins October 5th — 6 consecutive Mondays
📍 Tricia’s Troops Cancer Connection 21415 W Greenfield Ave New Berlin
💚 FREE to attend
🌱 Open to cancer fighters, survivors & thrivers

Whether you are newly diagnosed, years beyond treatment, supporting someone you love, or simply looking for faith, encouragement, and community during this season, you are welcome.

Please feel free to share this post with anyone who may benefit!

In the excitement and busyness of the past two months and being in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat, I completely forgot to post about my upcoming Christ-centered Mindful Movement & Meditation class!

I would LOVE for you to join me next Thursday, July 30th at 6:30pm to press pause, breathe, move and focus our hearts on trusting God even when we can't see the whole story (yes, the class is Joseph themed, but I promise no show tunes!) Open to anyone and everyone! More info and sign up link in the comments!

If you're coming to see Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat this weekend, I have a challenge for you...

Before you come to the theater, take 15 minutes to read Joseph's story in Genesis 37–50.

The musical stays surprisingly true to the biblical account (with plenty of laughs, catchy songs, and a healthy dose of theatrical silliness woven in), but the heart of the story remains unchanged.

Joseph's journey reminds us that we can't always predict what's coming next. Life takes unexpected twists and turns. There are seasons of betrayal, waiting, disappointment, and uncertainty. But through every chapter, one truth remains: God is with us.

No pit is too deep. No prison too dark. No season of waiting too long for God to redeem and restore.

Joseph's story ultimately points us to a God who is always at work—even when we can't yet see what He's doing.

And one final request...

Please don't judge me for playing the scandalous Mrs. Potiphar! Ha!

Also, my next public Christ-centered Mindful Movement class is next Thursday, July 30th at 6:30pm! Sign up link in the comments!

Families are often times beautifully messy... and Joseph's family may have been one of the messiest in the Bible! 💛

Jealousy, greed, a murder plot and cover up, seduction, forgiveness, second chances, and God's faithfulness all woven into one incredible story. Come experience this timeless tale in a way that will have you laughing, singing, and maybe even tearing up. (I get goosebumps at every rehearsal!)

🎭 Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat
📅 July 17–19
📍 Oconomowoc Arts Center

Hope to see you there! (I'll be causing a little mischief as Mrs. Potiphar! 😉)
