Do you carry emergency medical supplies on vacation , traveling, or rely on others to do it? Usually what I carry since we rendered aid while traveling is bare bones first aid to basic trauma kits from and along with other EDC med kits . Rather be safe than sorry especially traveling for worn to family vacation. It’s ok to be prepared even with bare minimum and to be aware of your surroundings. Again, always keep an eye on on AEDs , med kits , scene safety, and always have a back up plan. Never hurts to be prepared even when traveling , relaxing , and etc . Hope everyone has a safe summer and stay safe out there ! 🌞 ☀️ 🏖️ 🏝️ 🏥 🫀🧠🫁

Today is , , , and our squads 14th alive day anniversary. Basically, we were doing a night reconnaissance OP patrol of the village of Q4J in Sangin Afghanistan June 13th 2012. To make a long story short, multiple IEDS 💥 💥 went off creating a mass casualty in our squad resulting 7 out of 10 of us injured including two dual amputee above the knee , multiple walking wounded including myself , and one KIA. It was the longest night / early morning of our lives. Thanks to the British along with our team work and IFAKS due to my med pack being blown up second blast , we kept each other alive and it was a TEAM EFFORT . I also show the GBoss video of the second blast in our classes to show that combat medicine is not a joke nor a game . It motivated me seeing one of my squad mates compete in BJJ this past year and seeing him kick ass with no legs ! Being his former corpsman / combat medic, it meant the world to me seeing him move forward on the mats ! If you google him and Brad Ivanchan, it will motivate you . Both of them were models, climbed mountains, and accomplished so much. Unfortunately, one of our squad mates died instantly next to us during the blasts / attack. One of our other squad-mates died post military as a wildland fire fighter 🧑‍🚒/ smoke jumper as well . There’s not many of us left but some of us keep in touch and motivate each other to move forward. If you’re in the trauma medicine / Stop the bleed / TCCC community, first responder, health care , and even the Jiu Jitsu / BJJ community, look these bad MOFOs up and it will motivate you daily like it has me and many others over the years. I’m proud of all of them and honored to serve with humble warriors like these. Always be grateful what you have because someday, it can be gone in an instant. Forever our fallen and RIP 🪦 Sully and Baune ❤️ 🙏 🇺🇸.

Pretty awesome seeing kits at / Ohio State and at airports globally. You can also see med kits like this on airplanes ✈️ too. Want to give a shout out to and rendering aid to people while traveling in the sky . I myself render aid to a young lady years ago on an airline who passed out and had a bloody nose 👃 🩸 after one of my@marines funerals out west while traveling in the friendly skies. Also want to give a shoutout to doing a great job using his black belt 🥋 jiu jitsu experience to handle a unruly passenger who was harassing flight attendants , tried opening the emergency door , and other crazy stuff. Josh along with is legit and he’s a super humble nice guy to train with. All in all congratulations to these individuals stepping up saving lives in a crazy world 🌎 🔥 we live in. If you’re traveling, keep an eye out for trauma kit, first aid kits, CPR AED kits, and take some self defense classes. Be aware of your surroundings and have situational awareness. Again great job / bravo Zulu to these people stepping up when things go south while traveling in the air !

Recently, had a student show how to do a “make shift space blanket split/ triangle bandage” . Honestly, it’s a cool concept in my opinion because, it’s a good make shift medicine idea 💡 if you’re in a pinch low on supplies . A few of us in ems , nursing / health care , combat , contracting and etc been in situations where supplies is limited especially, in Warzones. Make shift medicine goes a long away especially in rural to urban environments or even prolonged field care. In my opinion, I think this is a game changer if you’re only running on limited supplies even an ifak, JFAK, or first aid kit . Even if you don’t have a space blanket or triangle bandage , you can improvise with bed sheets , clothes like sweat shirts , coats , safety pin 🧷 uniforms and the list goes on. Let us know in the comments below if you used improvised medicine in the field whether locally to overseas ! Does it work and should improvised medicine be taught in medical courses including trauma medicine ? Let us know and stay safe / informed out there ! 🫀🧠🫁

If you need certs renewed And continuing education , we offer REFRESHER to Night courses as well! We also like to do lots of hands on training rather than the typical “Death by power point” a lot of places seem to do nowadays. In these pictures, we’re showing IT clamp 🗜️ 🩸 application with different types of hemostatic gauze like Xstat gauze , wound trainers including the wound cubes and etc. Sometimes if the students want to, we let them train the elements including rain, snow and etc as well. All in all , we try to make it easy, universal, and fun for the classes / courses ! With the way the world is going, make training fun , informative, and hands on like it’s supposed to be rather making it redundant. There’s more to come and it’s time to make training fun again ! 🫀🧠🫁

No matter what happens in this world, we will always find time and ways to train . Over the years, we have gotten better being flexible with day and night classes for those who work for a living . We offer classes for military to civilian especially those who work odd hours in public safety, health care, and etc . Reason why we’re so flexible is because , a few of us work public safety, nursing / health care , and contract still . Next few post , we will not only post medical related topics and training, but shout outs to small businesses to job postings because, we want to give back to society and pay it forward. We try to remain neutral in politics and patient care as well which is how medicine is supposed to be. Had a great conversation with and about people talking about training vs people actually training. We need to do better empowering many to save lives even when we’re gone. If an intervention works and saves lives even if not perfect, then by the end of the day who cares ? Medicine will not always be perfect but, it’s better to do something then sit there , criticize, and do nothing. If you’re interested doing medicine overseas as a contractor or NGO, let us know in the comments and DMs as well. A lot of us are willing to travel , train, and do medicine even when there’s little to no support. Have more confidence in yourself we rendering aid to others and yourself. It’s time to put egos aside and help each other out in these uncertain times. Hope everyone has a great day and try to learn something new daily ! 🫀🧠🫁

A few of you inquired about mini AED that is under 2.1 pounds and can fit in some pockets in bag. It’s pretty legit and EP / PSS teams along with EMTs and medics uses this little thing to save lives in remote areas ! I took the liberty to ask clients for discount or more info on this because in our last training, it was the first time of us seeing this neat little mini aed ! It apparently has WiFi , touch screen, adult pads,Pediatric pads , and other cool things ! If any of you seen this or used this thing on the real deal, let us know in the comments below ! Always love learning something new daily ! 🫀🧠🫁

Want to thank and for the support over the years with great products that helps us empower/ train many to save lives ! The torso trainers with fake blood 🩸 pumping out of the neck to other various places makes training fun and challenging. We did have the students do this in the rain 🌧️ which made it more challenging and fun as well ! Definitely go check them out along with looking at their products ! Highly would recommend for stop the bleed to TCCC / TECC courses. The training aids also help for quality training on wound packing, direct pressure, pressure bandages , and stopping life threatening bleeding 🩸 🏥 🩹 ⛑️!

During training today , I saw a pretty small but a robust AED / Worth $1800 . The little thing had child pediatric to adult pads, different languages, monitor , and other cool stuff ! If you’re a PSS/ PSD medic , EP , or like to travel with various jobs / clients, this is a pretty neat setup ! Fun fact , you can also used expired to non expired AED pads if you’re in a pinch for chest seals as well for chest trauma / GSW s , stabbings and the list goes on. Some supports have IFAKS, stop the bleed kits and AED with med kits. You can also buy AEDs on Amazon too. Always like learning while training too and I was impressed with this mini AED. Going to post more and catch up. Awesome training , people and vibes today even though I’m rained 🌧️ ⛈️. Time to continue to train and learn like lives depend on it !

Memorial Day always hits different as we get older. With all the years of Wars and the fallen, makes you appreciate the simple things in life. I served with some tough warriors over the years and some of these warriors memories keep a few of us going . They taught people like me to keep moving forward no matter how hard things get . Check on the love ones of the fallen as well including the parents, spouses , and kids. I’m honored to know such awesome human beings over the years. They were giants in combat and made the field including combat fun. Remember what Memorial Day is about . Forever our fallen 🫡 ❤️ 🇺🇸 🇦🇫 🪦 ☠ 🇺🇸
