PSA: make sure to get yourself a sauna assistant. Duties include holding the poles, double-checking Dad's work, carrying one piece of firewood at a time very seriously, and declaring the sauna tent officially ready.

This is why we do it. One of our customers hauled their sauna tent out to an island only reachable by boat and set it up for a community gathering. No permits, no construction crew, no problem. Just a portable sauna, some dry firewood, and a group of people sweating together somewhere most saunas could never go.

We love seeing where these things end up. Untraditional places, traditional sauna. Keep sending them in.

Every wood-fired sauna has a personality, and getting to know yours is half the fun. Between the dampers, the air vents, and the wood you're burning, you'll learn exactly how to dial in the temperature you love. Some nights that's a mellow 150. Other nights you want it screaming.

Give it a few sessions and it becomes second nature. You stop checking the thermometer and start reading the fire. That's when a sauna stops being equipment and starts being yours.
