My final post on my training and fitness series! What role do s*x hormones play in how we should work out? 🏋️‍♂️ Wellllll, they can be very impactful but mostly in how they effect sleep, recovery, sense of well being, your ability to burn fat and build muscle. But NONE of that mean we should avoiding going hard during certain phases of our cycle. Didn’t sleep well and feeling fatigued? Go for a walk, do some stretching, and be OK taking it easy. Slept like a champ and took it easy the day before? Do some heavy squats and run some sprints! 🏃‍♀️ I promise that being in tune with your body will pay off so much more in the long run than watching your cycle and analyzing your hormones every day. 🤪

Thymosin Alpha 1 is an immune modulating peptide. 🧬 it works to increase natural killer cells and shifts the immune system to be better at recognizing and killing infections. 🦠 My husband brought home a bug so I jumped on it (along with IV therapy and supplements) right away. 💪 Friendly reminder- peptides work best when your cells are healthy so don’t let peptides replace sleep, nutrition, stress management, or other lifestyle modifications!

Sometimes the answer isn't a new protocol. It's putting your feet on the grass.

We love the science. Peptides, hormone optimization, advanced labs, all of it has a place and we use it every day. But it's easy to chase the sophisticated thing while skipping the foundation. Sleep and circadian rhythm. Sunlight. Time outside. Feeling safe in your own body. Being around people who love you.

None of that photographs well or sells a package. It just works.

As Ellie puts it, nothing replaces simple regulation and simple safety for the body. Connection with the people you love does more for how you age than most things you can buy.

Give your body what it was designed for, and it will do a lot of the healing on its own.

"You do not forget when you start to feel well."

Amber was told her anxiety and her eating disorder were permanent. That she'd carry both for life. Today she lives free from them, not because she ignored what she was experiencing, but because she started asking what her body was trying to tell her. Gut disruption. Nervous system dysregulation. Signals, not sentences.

This isn't a dig at Western medicine. It has its place, and for many people medication is a necessary part of care. But being handed a diagnosis and told "this is just your life now" is a heavy thing to carry, and too often it becomes the whole story. Your diagnosis is not your identity.

We believe people deserve to be encouraged toward wellness, not managed into resignation.

Fifty pounds in two months. Energy back. Libido back. The promises are everywhere right now, and almost none of them ask why your body got here in the first place.

We use peptides and hormone optimization in our clinic every single day. They work. But handed out without looking at what's actually driving your symptoms, they become a rental, not a resolution. The weight comes back. The fatigue creeps in. And you're left wondering what you did wrong.

Nothing. You just never got to the root.

As Amber puts it, it's about asking what's the root of the root of the root. Blood sugar regulation, metabolic flexibility, hidden exposures. That's the foundation everything else is built on, and it's where real, lasting change starts.

Episode 92 is live. Amber Warren, PA-C, IFMCP sits down with Ellie Anderson, MHS, RDN, LD to talk about the questions more of us should be asking.

Progesterone is one of the most protective hormones in the female body.

When it is supported, things tend to feel steadier
More calm
More stable cycles
Less inflammation
Better metabolic support

It also plays a role in protecting your brain, heart, fertility, skin, and bones over time.

But progesterone does not just decline for no reason.

Chronic stress, not eating enough, over exercising, poor sleep, constant screen exposure, thyroid dysfunction, and environmental toxins can all quietly lower it.

Your symptoms are not random. They are signals.

Hormone balance is foundational. If this is something you are navigating, schedule a consultation through the link in bio.
