Mushroom Wisdom A Global Leader in Mushroom Dietary Supplements including; Maitake D-Fraction and SX-Fraction, Lion's For more than 30 years Mushroom Wisdom, Inc.

(MWI) has continuously developed and produced the finest research supported mushroom products. While mushrooms have been used traditionally for thousands of years, Mushroom Wisdom actually began in 1991, as Maitake Products, Inc., with the goal of bringing the health and immune supporting benefits of the, at the time, relatively unknown Maitake mushroom to the U.S. *

The original and only product that was offered was Grifron® Maitake, a simple, straightforward whole Maitake mushroom powder that offered a full range of Maitake’s actions. As researchers further explored this promising mushroom they found it contained a potent, unique beta glucan that was orally effective for supporting healthy immune function.* This became known as D-fraction. Maitake D-Fraction® PRO 4X, the company’s flagship product, is now available in a quick and easy “spray” form. Maitake D-Fraction “EZ” Spray is convenient for “on-the-go” administration. Further research on the Maitake mushroom led to discoveries related to its promising actions for supporting healthy blood sugar and insulin functions.* As a result of these studies the SX-fraction was born. After 10 years of being a “one mushroom” company we introduced a line of single mushrooms, all “super” enhanced by high quality mushroom fruiting body and unique mushroom extracts. This “Super” mushroom line includes Agaricus, Chaga, Coriolus, Cordyceps, Lion’s Mane, Meshima, Reishi, Shiitake and Tremella. MWI recently introduced Super Poria, based on their research of this mushroom and unique mushroom extract. By 2010 the company acknowledged its role as a leader in the mushroom category by changing its name to, Mushroom Wisdom Inc., to better reflect its diversity of products. By embracing the word “wisdom” as part of its new company name, MWI honors the thousands of years of traditional use of these mushrooms, while also emphasizing its industry leading commitment to furthering our knowledge and understanding with scientific research. As an industry and category leader, MWI is committed to offering the safest and most effective mushroom and mushroom extract supplements. MWI has developed proprietary extractions of several mushrooms to further enhance their beneficial actions. MWI has supported and continues to support investigations into the wondrous world of mushrooms at respected research institutions, such as Georgetown University, New York Medical College, and Shizuoka University in Japan as well as by renown researchers such as Harry Preuss, MD, Sensuke Konno, PhD, and Hirokazu Kawagishi, PhD. All MWI products are manufactured in a cGMP facility in the U.S with all mushroom materials verified for identity. Having celebrated their first 25 years in business last year, Mushroom Wisdom is looking forward to another 25 outstanding years offering you the finest mushroom supplements grounded in tradition, expanded by research.

Every 3,000 years, the most exclusive party in the cosmos takes place.

In Taoist legend, Xiwangmu, the Queen Mother of the West, hosts the Peach Banquet in her palace on Mount Kunlun. The guest list is gods and immortals. The main course is the Peaches of Immortality, which take thousands of years to ripen and grant endless life to anyone who eats one.
Not everyone waited for an invitation. In the classic novel Journey to the West, Sun Wukong, the Monkey King, was put in charge of guarding the peach orchard. You can guess how that went. He ate the peaches, drank the banquet w**e, and helped himself to Laozi’s elixir pills for good measure. It ended with him pinned under a mountain for 500 years.
Then there’s Magu, an immortal known for her kindness, who arrived the proper way, with a gift. For the Queen Mother’s birthday she brewed a w**e from Lingzhi. The scene became a favorite in Chinese art, painted on scrolls and porcelain for centuries as a symbol of long life and good fortune.
When the ancients pictured a gift fit for the Queen of Immortals, Lingzhi was what they imagined. That says a lot about how deeply this mushroom was revered, long before anyone studied it in a lab.
So which guest would you be: Magu with the thoughtful gift, or Monkey King raiding the orchard?

Every autumn, Maitake gathers at the base of old oaks in ruffled, overlapping layers, which is how it earned the nickname "Hen of the Woods." In Japan its name means "dancing mushroom," said to come from the joy of foragers who found one.
That fruiting body, the mushroom itself, is where Maitake D-Fraction® begins.
Many mushroom supplements are made from mycelium grown on grain, and the finished powder can carry much of that grain along with it. D-Fraction takes a different path. It draws from the mushroom itself, the part that rises into the light, and distills it into a concentrated extract centered on a distinctive beta-glucan complex, one that decades of study have shown helps support healthy immune function.*
When it comes to mushrooms, where you start shapes what you get.

There's a quiet beauty in how many cultures care for their elders. In the high valleys of Tibet and across China, one of the most cherished ways to honor an aging parent or grandparent was to prepare something nourishing for them, and Cordyceps was among the most treasured gifts of all.
For centuries, this rare Himalayan mushroom was simmered into teas and broths and offered to elders as a gift of strength and warmth. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, it was valued for nourishing Jing, the deep essence associated with graceful aging.*
On this International Day of Older Persons, we celebrate the elders in our lives and the traditions that honor them. Who are you celebrating today?
Inspired by this ancient tradition, Mushroom Wisdom Super Cordyceps helps support healthy energy and stamina.*
