Happy Mother’s Day to all the different kinds of mothers out there. Sometimes motherhood comes long before we feel ready, and sometimes much later than we hoped or planned. Some of us are biological mothers, and some step into the role through love, support, and presence.

No matter how you mother — or if you’ve simply been blessed by a wonderful mother figure in your life — I hope today is filled with love and appreciation.
