☀️🏊‍♀️ SWIM SEASON ESSENTIAL 🏊‍♂️☀️

We all know that chlorine can leave your skin and hair feeling dry, itchy, and irritated after a day at the pool 😖

Our favorite summer sidekick is the Swim Spray! Made with sodium ascorbate (a form of Vitamin C), it helps neutralize chlorine on the skin, hair, and even swimsuits, making it easy to rinse away after swimming.

✨ Helps reduce chlorine exposure
✨ Supports healthy skin and hair
✨ May help prevent dryness, itching, and irritation from pool water
✨ Safe for the whole family

Simply spray generously before and after swimming for extra support during all your summer adventures. ☀️💦

Stop by and grab yours before your next pool day!

POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome) = your autonomic nervous system malfunctioning and is controlled by your brainstem and upper cervical spine. 💚

You stand up, heart races, dizziness hits, you might pass out. Your heart rate jumps 30+ beats just from standing.
This isn’t anxiety, but autonomic nervous system dysfunction.

What you’re living with: Dizziness when upright, rapid heartbeat, extreme fatigue, brain fog, exercise intolerance, nausea, temperature dysregulation, feeling like your body is constantly betraying you.

Did you know that your autonomic nervous system is controlled by your brainstem and upper cervical spine (C1-C2)?

When upper neck has tension or imbalance, it affects brainstem function, vagus nerve communication, blood flow to brain, autonomic regulation.

How upper cervical chiropractic helps POTS:
Upper cervical adjustments support brainstem function and vagus nerve. Improved blood flow to brain reduces dizziness/brain fog, nervous system regulation improves over time, and reduced spinal stress = less burden on already-struggling autonomic system.

Research shows: Some POTS patients experience reduced dizzy spells, improved exercise tolerance, better cognitive function, decreased heart rate fluctuations, improved quality of life with upper cervical care.

When we support that foundation, some patients find their body can regulate better.
You deserve support that addresses the nervous system foundation - not just symptom management. 💚

Not all chiropractic adjustments involve big cracks and pops ✨
At our office, we use a variety of techniques tailored to each person’s comfort and needs — including the gentle and effective Activator Method.
The Activator is a small handheld instrument that delivers a precise, low-force adjustment to the spine and nervous system. It’s well researched, incredibly gentle, and a great option for babies, kids, pregnant mamas, and anyone who prefers a lighter approach to care.
No twisting. No forceful movements. Just specific, intentional adjustments designed to help the body function at its best 💚
Chiropractic care isn’t one-size-fits-all — and your adjustments shouldn’t be either.

Summer break is coming — and the shift from structure to freedom can dysregulate your family’s nervous systems. Here’s how to prep for a more regulated, enjoyable summer 🌞💚

You’d think less structure = less stress, but summer often creates MORE dysregulation:

Kids: routine loss, sleep changes, more screens, boredom meltdowns, sibling conflict

Parents: kids home all day, disrupted work, planning stress, no breaks from parenting

Even positive transitions affect the nervous system.

Here’s how to prepare:

1. Get everyone adjusted before summer starts

Kids are carrying months of sitting, backpacks, posture stress, academics, and limited outdoor play. Adjustments help release tension so they can start summer feeling more regulated.

Parents are carrying mental load, tension, stress, and exhaustion too.

2. Create a summer rhythm

The nervous system thrives on predictability:
✅ Consistent wake/sleep times
✅ Regular meals
✅ Outdoor time
✅ Screen-free times
✅ Evening wind-down routine

3. Prioritize movement + nature

After months of sitting and screens, summer is a chance for the nervous system to reset.

Movement helps release tension, improve sleep, reduce anxiety, and build resilience.

Nature helps lower cortisol, improve mood, and calm sensory overload.

Think:
☀️ Swimming
☀️ Biking
☀️ Hiking
☀️ Beach days
☀️ Outdoor play

Aim for 30+ minutes daily.

4. Maintain chiropractic care through summer

Stopping care over summer is a common mistake. Months without adjustments can allow the nervous system and spine to shift back toward dysfunction.

Summer is actually ideal for chiropractic care:
✓ Active bodies need support
✓ Travel stresses the NS
✓ Growth spurts happen
✓ It helps prep for the next school year

Summer NS Prep Checklist:
☑️ Get adjusted before school ends
☑️ Create a summer rhythm
☑️ Daily movement + nature
☑️ Screen boundaries
☑️ Maintain chiropractic care
☑️ Plan downtime
☑️ Stay hydrated
☑️ Keep bedtime consistent

Prep now. Regulate through summer. Start fall thriving.

Your “clumsy” kid may not actually be careless 🤕💚

If your child constantly bumps into furniture, trips often, falls more than other kids, struggles with coordination, drops things, or seems unaware of their body in space… there may be more going on beneath the surface.

This can be related to proprioception — your brain’s ability to sense where your body is without looking.

When proprioception is not functioning efficiently, kids may:
• Misjudge distance
• Use too much or too little force
• Trip or fall frequently
• Struggle with coordination
• Feel disconnected from their body in space

This is neurological, not behavioral.

Proprioceptive information travels through the nervous system and spinal pathways to the brain. When the spine is under stress or not moving well, communication between the brain and body can become less efficient.

Common stressors we see in kids:
• Birth stress or tension
• Frequent falls while learning to walk
• Growth spurts
• Poor posture + screen time
• Sports impacts or repetitive strain

The upper cervical spine also plays an important role in how the brain processes balance, coordination, and sensory input.

Gentle chiropractic care focuses on supporting the nervous system and restoring proper movement to the spine so the brain and body can communicate more clearly 🌿

Parents often notice improvements in:
✨ Coordination
✨ Body awareness
✨ Confidence in movement
✨ Balance + motor planning

We also love supporting proprioception through:
• Barefoot play
• Climbing + crawling
• Balance activities
• Jumping, pushing, pulling, and other “heavy work” movements

Sometimes “clumsy” kids simply need better nervous system support 🤍

📍If your child struggles with coordination or frequent falls, we’d love to help support their nervous system naturally.

If your child struggles with chronic constipation, only p**ping every few days, painful bowel movements, stomach aches, withholding, or frequent accidents — know this is more common than many parents realize 💩💚

And maybe you’ve already tried all the usual things: more water, fiber, probiotics, prune juice, diet changes, or Miralax. Sometimes it helps temporarily… but the constipation keeps coming back.

Here’s something many parents are never told: digestion is heavily connected to the nervous system.

The nerves that help control bowel motility, muscle contractions, and the “urge to go” originate in the lower spine and sacrum. When there is stress or imbalance in these areas, communication between the brain and digestive system can become less efficient, which may contribute to sluggish digestion and constipation.

Digestion also works best when the body is in a parasympathetic “rest-and-digest” state 🧘🏻‍♀️
Many kids today are stuck in stress mode from busy schedules, school demands, sensory overload, poor sleep, or emotional stress — all of which can impact gut function.

Common stressors we see in kids:
• Birth stress or tension
• Falls while learning to walk
• Heavy backpacks + poor posture
• Growth spurts
• Sitting for long periods
• Emotional stress + anxiety

Gentle pediatric chiropractic care focuses on supporting the nervous system and restoring proper movement to the spine and sacrum so the body can regulate and function more efficiently ✨

Parents often tell us they notice improvements not only in bowel regularity, but also in sleep, mood, and overall regulation. 👏🏼

Yes — nutrition, hydration, movement, magnesium, and probiotics matter too 🤍 But the body also needs clear brain-body communication for those supports to work effectively.

Sometimes constipation is not just a food issue. Sometimes it’s a nervous system issue.

Outside time is one of the simplest and most overlooked ways to support the nervous system. ☀️🌿

Sunshine, movement, fresh air, grounding, and unstructured play all give the brain and body important sensory input that helps regulate stress, support mood, improve sleep, and encourage healthy development.

For kids, outdoor play helps support coordination, balance, emotional regulation, and nervous system function through climbing, running, spinning, exploring, and simply being present in nature.

For mamas, getting outside can help shift the body out of “fight or flight” mode and into a calmer, more regulated state. Even a short walk, barefoot moment in the grass, or stroller stroll can make a difference. 🤍

As chiropractors, we care deeply about how the nervous system functions because when the nervous system is supported, the body is better able to adapt, heal, grow, and thrive.

Sometimes the healthiest thing you can do is step outside together.
