What Is Seborrheic Keratosis? 🤔
Have you noticed a rough, waxy, or “stuck-on” spot appearing on your skin? It may be a seborrheic keratosis (SK)—one of the most common benign skin growths seen in adults.
✨ What to know about Seborrheic Keratosis:
• Non-cancerous and very common
• Often appear as tan, brown, or black growths
• Can be raised, rough, or waxy in texture
• Commonly found on the face, chest, back, shoulders, and neck
• Tend to increase with age
While seborrheic keratoses are harmless, they can become irritated, catch on clothing, or simply be a cosmetic concern.
🌟 The good news? They can often be removed quickly and comfortably in the office.
If you’ve noticed a new or changing spot on your skin, it’s always important to have it evaluated by a medical professional to ensure an accurate diagnosis.
