Iโve really been trying to take a more proactive approach to my health over the last year instead of waiting until something feels โoffโ to pay attention to it. ๐ฟ
Last October, I decided to try Function Health, mostly because I wanted more thorough lab work and better insight into what was actually going on in my body. I just did my follow-up testing, and honestly, Iโve been super impressed with the whole experience.
They run over 160 lab tests each year, and the amount of information you get back is kind of incredible. But what I really appreciate is that they explain everything in a way that actually makes sense. The app breaks down your results, explains what they mean, tracks trends over time, gives action steps, and even calculates your biological age.
(For the recordโฆ mine came back at 42.9, which is apparently almost 18 years younger than my actual age ๐ Iโll take it.)
The app is really easy to use, customer service has been fantastic anytime Iโve had questions, and the whole process has felt surprisingly simple.
What really shocked me was when the lab technician told me my initial testing would probably have cost around $2,500 through traditional channels. Through Function, it was $365 for the membership and testing.
For me, this isnโt about becoming obsessed with health data or trying to be perfect. Itโs just been a really useful tool for learning more about my body, identifying potential issues early, and making more informed decisions.
Sharing because I know a lot of people want deeper testing but assume itโs out of reach financially. This has honestly been one of the most helpful health tools Iโve used.
Happy to answer questions if anyoneโs curious about my experience. ๐
