15 years, babe. 🤍
What’s funny is that we actually met two years before our first date. Neither of us knew then what a journey was ahead.
We got married when I was six months pregnant. A few months later, with a 3-month-old baby at home, I decided I wanted to go to nursing school. I worked nights as a nurse tech, then juggled nursing school, clinicals, work, and motherhood. I graduated nursing school pregnant with Krew and went on to work as a nurse for seven years.
There were a lot of long nights. A lot of missed events. ALOT of you doing the heavy lifting.
For years, our schedules were completely opposite. I was coming home exhausted and heading to bed while John was starting his day and getting the boys where they needed to be. We did whatever it took to keep moving forward.
Then I decided I wanted to become a Nurse Practitioner.
I stepped away from work to complete school while also caring for my mom during her illness. After graduating, I knew I wanted something different for our family. I didn’t want to go back to working 12-hour shifts. I didn’t want to work nights again. I wanted to build something of my own.
So I opened Hendon Wellness.
Looking back, every chapter of my career, every risk, every late-night study session, every crazy idea, and every leap of faith had one thing in common—you.
You never told me no.
You never discouraged me.
You never asked me to dream smaller.
You simply believed in me, even when the road ahead felt uncertain.
Has it always been easy? Not even close.
Building a business, raising a family, navigating loss, and balancing work and home has challenged us in more ways than I can count.
But through it all, we’ve continued to show up for each other.
Thank you for being my biggest supporter, my partner, and the steady presence behind so much of what I’ve been able to accomplish.
None of this would have been possible without you.
Happy 15th anniversary. I love you. 🤍
