15 things I want my son to know at 15 ❤️
1. Keep God at the center of your life. Pray about the big things, the little things, and everything in between. When you don’t know what to do, seek Him. When your life gets hard, trust Him. Your relationship with God will be the most important relationship you ever build.
2. You are loved more than you will ever fully understand.
3. You don’t have to have your whole life figured out right now. Give yourself permission to grow.
4. Character will take you farther than talent ever will. Be the kind of person you would want to be around.
5. Take care of your body, mind, and soul. Your health is a gift.
6. Work hard. Even when nobody is watching. Your integrity matters.
7. Choose your friends wisely. The people you surround yourself with will influence who you become.
8. Don’t be afraid to fail. Some of life’s greatest lessons come from the things that don’t go as planned.
9. Be kind. You never know the weight someone else may be carrying.
10. Don’t be afraid to stand apart from the crowd. Going against the grain is sometimes exactly what you are called to do.
11. Respect everyone. Especially those who have nothing to offer you in return.
12. Laugh often. Life is too short to take yourself seriously.
13. When life gets hard, don’t quit. You are stronger than you think.
14. Your worth is not measured by your achievements, popularity, appearance, or what other people think of you.
15. Never forget where you came from, who loves you, and that I will always be in your corner.
Watching you grow from a little boy into the young man you are becoming has been one of the greatest blessings of my life.
I don’t know exactly where life will take you, but I know God has a plan for you, and I cannot wait to watch it unfold.
Happy 15th birthday, my boy. ✨🎂
Keep God first.
Keep your heart kind.
Work hard.
Stay humble.
Never stop becoming the man you were created to be.
Love,
Your biggest fan, always 🤍
