Man watch out.

Have me ready to lace up for a double header looking at these.🤦🏾‍♂️

Gamification. Take something you already do and add a focus element to it, possibly even a constraint or added variable.
In this example, it’s something standard like shooting free. The objective is to make the free throws without touching the rim. This ensures repeatable mechanics and consistency.
One slight tweak and the ball hits the rim.
In training it could be as simple as trying to press a dumbbell faster each rep to work on strength and power.
So many ways to integrate it in your training and it makes it more engaging.

You don’t have to be comfortable with every movement right away. Sometimes the goal isn’t to avoid a position, but to find an entry point that allows you to build trust with it. Adjust the range, slow it down, change the setup, or find another way to explore the pattern. With enough exposure, what once felt unfamiliar can become something you feel strong and capable in. You’re not training to master exercises. You’re training to expand what your body is prepared for whatever you ask it to do.

Quality session.

Got my core temp up, my heart up, and my body/mind primed.

Got my speed work in.

Got my primary strength training in.

Got my secondary strength training in.

Finish with a pump and I’m gone.

Lefty pt. 2.
I attempt this for 2 reasons. 1. So I don’t over exceed the target intensity on days I’m supposed to keep it light. 2. I enjoy the looking silly part.
Why not expose yourself?

Get up to bat and get ready to shoot.

Seek failure and consistency before perfection.

It’s embarrassing, it can feel long-winded, it can feel mundane. The time will pass anyway. Get in there and learn something so the future you can benefit from it.

Deep yielded landings.

Spending time in deep landing positions have not only made me more confident in this ranges but have positively impacted my mobility.

The sort of relaxed oscillatory contraction has opened a new portal to rhythm and coordination that I enjoy. It’s been great to explore ways to include a speedier contraction that are not plyometric in nature.

Linear progression can be an effective tool because it provides structure and a clear path to improving strength over time. The problem is you may keep adding weight or reps without paying attention to the foundation that supports your progress. Less sleep, higher stress, under fueling, poor hydration, and inconsistent recovery all reduce your body's ability to adapt. If you continue pushing forward without addressing those factors, you're often adding more demand to a system that is already struggling. Progress is not just about what you can do in the gym, it is also about what your body can recover from outside of it. Build the foundation first, then earn the right to progress.

Is it really that urgent?
Focus what brings the most ROI. Good thought process, do you feel a bit better after because of it or does it inch you closer to an outcome you desire?

Feet elevated nasal diaphragmatic breathing is a simple way to transition out of your workout and bring your heart rate down. Lie on your back, elevate your feet, and spend 3–5 minutes taking slow, controlled breaths through your nose. Focus on allowing your stomach and sides to expand as you inhale, then slowly exhale and let your body relax. As your breathing slows, your heart rate should gradually begin to come down as well. Instead of finishing your workout and immediately rushing to the next thing, give your body a few minutes to settle. Think of it as the final piece of your workout rather than something extra.
