Registration is open now for The Midwest Wheelchair Tennis Championships are taking place in Grand Rapids, MI on July 10-July 12th, 2026.

Tournament Level: USTA Level 3 (Outdoor Hard Court)

There will be Coed Singles and Doubles Divisions this year in addition to a Women’s Open Singles and Doubles Division.

The Chicago Wheelchair Cubs joined us this past Saturday to kick off the season with an exciting doubleheader! ⚾

Our team, the West Michigan Rollin’ Whitecaps, came away with our first win and showed strong teamwork throughout both games. It was a great start to the season and a fun day of competition.

Next up—we hit the road and head to Chicago for our next matchup. Let’s go, Rollin' Whitecaps! 💙

Last Friday, we hosted our Adaptive Sailing Clinic at the Grand Rapids Yacht Club—and it was a fantastic day on the water! ⛵

We were fortunate to have two adaptive boats from the Traverse City Area Community Sailing program and three from the Yacht Club, giving participants the opportunity to learn the basics of sailing in a supportive environment. With perfect wind conditions, our incredible team of volunteers ensured that all of our morning group—and even some of our afternoon participants—were able to get out on the water before the rain rolled in.

We’ve already seen strong interest following a recent clinic, and we’re excited to build something truly impactful for our athletes.

✅ The next head coach will:
• Have prior experience as a swim coach/swimmer
• Demonstrate a willingness to learn and grow in the sport of para-swimming
• Bring a passion for inclusive athletics and athlete development

The Mary Free Bed Sonics Goalball Team traveled to Atlanta for the Peach State Goalball Classic! 💪

The Sonics were proudly represented by two men’s teams and one women’s team. For many of our athletes, this was their first time competing together—making the experience not only exciting, but incredibly meaningful as they built connections and grew as a team.

We’re already looking ahead! The Sonics will be back in action this July as they head to New Jersey for their next tournament. Stay tuned and cheer them on! 👏

The Frenzy Wheelchair Lacrosse team is hitting the road and rolling into Milwaukee, Wisconsin for the Big Cheese Tournament—and we’re ready to compete! 💪

This tournament brings together some of the best wheelchair lacrosse talent for a weekend of fast-paced action, teamwork, and growing the game we love. We’re proud to represent our community and can’t wait to get out on the court.

Guests will have the opportunity to try adapted outdoor adventure activities, including:

Rock climbing
Hiking

All skill levels are welcome. Whether you are trying something new, exploring accessible recreation options, or supporting someone who loves outdoor adventure, we would love to have you join us.
