When Wyatt entered this world weighing just 1 lb. 1 oz., we never could have imagined that one tiny little boy would bring together more than 7,100 people who would follow his journey, cheer him on, and love him from near and far.

What started as a way to share updates about our tiny warrior has grown into something so much bigger.

It's become a family. Wyatt's Army. 💙

You've been here through the scary days, the sleepless nights, the medical challenges, the prayers, and the tears.

And you've celebrated right alongside us through every ounce gained, every milestone reached, every little smile, and every victory that once seemed so far away.

Some of you have been here since day one. Others have joined us along the way. Some of you we've never even met.

But every single one of you has become part of Wyatt's story.

And for that, we are forever grateful. 💙

Your prayers, kind words, encouragement, and continued love mean more to Lane, Jerzee, Bailey, and our entire family than we could ever put into words.

💙🤠 LIFE AFTER NICU: THERE'S A NEW COWBOY IN TOWN! 🤠💙

Well, Wyatt's Army... we've learned something VERY important about our little warrior.

He's a COUNTRY BOY through and through! 🤠🐂

Apparently, Wyatt has developed quite the taste in music. And not just any music will do!

Mom and Dad can have a screaming, crying little cowboy on their hands, but the moment they turn on “Cowgirls Don't Cry” by Brooks & Dunn...

SILENCE! 😂🎶

Just like that, the tears stop!

And if there's bull riding on TV? Well, you might as well forget about getting his attention because those eyes are GLUED to the screen! 🐂

I'm beginning to think this little guy was born with cowboy boots on. They were just REALLY tiny! 😂💙

But that's not all Wyatt has been up to!

Our little chatterbox has been babbling up a storm lately, and Mom even caught him saying “Dada”! 🥹💙

Now, whether he knows exactly what he's saying or he's just practicing those new sounds, we're counting it as another sweet milestone!

And speaking of growing...

Wyatt's latest weigh-in was 15 lbs. 5 oz.! 🎉

Can you believe it?!

From our tiny 1 lb. 1 oz. warrior to a 15-pound country-music-loving, bull-riding-watching, baby-babbling little cowboy!

Sometimes it's hard to believe just how far he's come.

These are the moments that make Life After NICU so special. Watching him discover his voice, develop his own little personality, and find the things that make him happy.

And apparently, all it takes to make this cowboy happy is a little Brooks & Dunn and some good old-fashioned bull riding! 🤠💙

Keep growing, keep talking, and keep being YOU, little cowboy!

💙🏡 LIFE AFTER NICU: IF ONE THUMB IS GOOD... TWO MUST BE BETTER! 🏡💙

Well, well, well... look who's been learning some new tricks! 😂💙

Apparently, Wyatt has discovered the wonderful world of thumb-sucking.

But why settle for ONE thumb when you have TWO perfectly good ones available?!

That's right, folks. Our little overachiever is attempting to suck BOTH thumbs at the same time! 👍👍😂

Because apparently one just wasn't getting the job done!

And that's not the only new trick our little warrior has up his sleeve.

Wyatt has also figured out how to SCOOT across the floor!

Now, before you start picturing him crawling all over the house, let me explain...

He lies on his back, arches it, kicks those little feet, and somehow manages to scoot himself across the floor!

Is it graceful? Probably not.

Is it an official method of transportation? Debatable.

Does it get him from Point A to Point B? Apparently YES! 😂💙

Mom and Dad might want to start preparing themselves. Something tells me this little guy is just getting warmed up!

And now for some really GOOD news...

Wyatt's cough has improved A LOT! 🙌💙

After several weeks of being sick and dealing with that nasty cough, our little warrior is finally showing some wonderful signs of recovery.

And judging by all these new tricks, he's apparently been using his downtime to work on a few new skills!

These are the moments we love sharing with all of you.

No big medical announcements. Just a little boy feeling better, learning new things, and showing us that wonderful personality we've all come to love.

From fighting for every breath to figuring out how to travel across the floor on his back...

You've come a long way, little warrior! 💙

Now, if someone could just explain to Wyatt that thumbs are generally a ONE-AT-A-TIME activity, we'd appreciate it. 😂👍👍

💙🏡 LIFE AFTER NICU: GETTING BETTER, BUT A CHANGE OF PLANS 🏡💙

We have a little Wyatt update for everyone. 💙

First, the good news...

Our little warrior IS feeling better! 🙌

He's starting to act more like himself again, which makes everyone very happy to see.

Unfortunately, that nasty cough is still hanging on. When Wyatt gets into a bad coughing spell, he sometimes coughs so hard that it causes him to throw up. 😢

And because those little lungs have already been through so much, his doctors aren't taking any chances.

Wyatt's upcoming hernia surgery has officially been postponed.

His surgeon does not want to put his body—or especially his lungs—under any unnecessary stress from surgery and anesthesia while he's still recovering.

And we're completely okay with that.

The hernia can wait. Wyatt's lungs come first. 💙

The new plan is to let our little guy completely recover. Once Wyatt's pediatrician gives him the all-clear, they'll wait approximately six more weeks before rescheduling his surgery.

So, once again, we're working on Wyatt Time. 😉

We've learned throughout this journey that the calendar doesn't always get the final say. Sometimes the best thing we can do is give his little body the time it needs to heal and get stronger before asking it to tackle the next hurdle.

For now, there are no races to win and no deadlines to meet.

Just one job...

Get better, little warrior. 💙

The surgery will be there when you're ready for it.

Please keep those prayers coming that this stubborn cough finally lets go and Wyatt's little lungs continue to heal and grow stronger.

💙🏡 LIFE AFTER NICU: OUR LITTLE WARRIOR IS STILL FIGHTING THIS BUG 🏡💙

After six long days of poor Wyatt being sick and just not getting back to himself, Mom and Dad decided it was time for a little road trip to St. Joe's in Lewiston for another look.

More X-rays were done, and this time they found that Wyatt is starting to develop pneumonia.

He has been started on antibiotics, and steroids may also be added to help him through this.

We're thankful to finally have a better idea of what our little guy has been fighting and a plan to treat it. 💙

And even while he's been sick, somebody has apparently still been doing some growing...

Wyatt is up to 14 lbs. 6 oz.! 💙

Right now, mornings seem to be his best time of day. He'll have a little more energy and seem more like himself, but as the day goes on, he becomes pretty tired and lethargic.

And currently, our normally happy, smiling, talkative little boy just isn't feeling very happy. 😢

He needs some time to rest, heal and let those antibiotics do their job.

There is one little bit of encouraging news. Wyatt has been able to go a little longer without his oxygen support.

But Lane and Jerzee have decided that right now is NOT the time to push it.

Trying to see how long he can go without oxygen while he's sick and his little lungs are already working harder is simply too nerve-racking. The oxygen milestone can wait.

Getting Wyatt healthy again comes first. 💙

There will be plenty of time to work toward getting rid of that oxygen when he's feeling stronger.
For now, we just want our smiling, laughing, baby-talking little warrior back.

So Wyatt's Army, we'd love some extra prayers for him. 🙏💙

Pray that the antibiotics get to work quickly, that his lungs get stronger, and that each day brings a little more of that sweet personality back.

One day at a time, little warrior.

You've conquered some pretty big mountains already.

💙🏡 LIFE AFTER NICU: SOMEONE HAS A LOT TO SAY THIS MORNING! 🏡💙

Well... look who woke up with ALL the words this morning! 😂💙

Okay, they're baby words—and we have absolutely no idea what he's saying—but judging by that smile and the seriousness of this conversation, Wyatt clearly has some very important things to discuss.

This video was taken after Wyatt received a breathing treatment this morning. Seeing him smiling, happy and talking up a storm afterward was certainly a welcome sight after the scare he gave everyone yesterday. 💙

Because yesterday was a little scary.

Wyatt developed a pretty bad cough. It became strong enough that he was coughing until he would throw up, and Lane and Jerzee knew it was time to have him checked out.

They took him to the hospital, where doctors did chest X-rays and some initial testing. Today, he'll go back in for a more thorough examination, and we'll keep everyone updated as we know more.

This is also a good reminder of something we've asked from the very beginning.

Please help us protect Wyatt.

His little lungs have already been through so much and are still healing. If you're sick, just getting over something, have recently been exposed to illness, or have been around smoke or anything else that could irritate his lungs, please save your visit for another time.

It isn't about hurting anyone's feelings or keeping people away.
It's about keeping Wyatt safe. 💙

And while we're sharing this update, we want to say something that probably doesn't get said nearly enough...

Lane and Jerzee are doing an AMAZING job.

Life After NICU isn't easy.

It means watching oxygen levels. Keeping up with appointments. Medications. Specialists. Feeding needs. Knowing what's normal for Wyatt and recognizing when something isn't right.

It means making decisions at all hours of the day and night and sometimes wondering whether you're worrying too much—or not enough.

Yesterday, they knew their little boy needed to be seen, and they made sure he was.

They continue to advocate for him, follow his medical team's recommendations, keep up with his many needs and give this little boy everything they've got.

We're incredibly proud of both of them. 💙

So today, while Mom and Dad handle the serious stuff...

Apparently Wyatt has decided his job is to tell us ALL about it. 😂💙
Keep those baby stories coming, little warrior.

We'll take every single word.

💙🏡 LIFE AFTER NICU: GUESS WHO ROLLED OVER! 🏡💙

We know... it's been a little while since we've given everyone a Wyatt update. 💙

The good news is, sometimes no big updates are the best kind of updates.

Our little warrior has simply been busy doing what babies are supposed to do—growing, playing, laughing, talking up a storm and keeping Mom and Dad entertained. 😂

But TODAY we have a milestone to celebrate...

WYATT ROLLED OVER FOR THE FIRST TIME! 🎉💙

That's right! Our little man decided today was the day to show everyone one more thing he can do.

And the video we're sharing really has nothing to do with the big rollover. 😂 It's simply Wyatt right where he loves to be—in Dad's arms, laughing, talking and showing off more and more of that personality we've all fallen in love with.

And you know what?

These are our favorite updates.

No big medical news. No complicated explanation. Just a little boy reaching a new milestone and enjoying some time with his daddy. 💙

There was a time when our updates were about ounces gained, oxygen levels, ventilators and getting through another day.

Now we get to tell you...
Wyatt rolled over.

And somehow, those three little words mean more than we could ever explain. 🥹💙

💜 IN LOVING MEMORY OF TIMBERLYNN 💜

With incredibly heavy hearts, we share that sweet Timberlynn Prado passed away Monday at 3:58. 💔

Just days ago, we asked Wyatt’s Army to surround this precious little girl and her family with prayers. So many of you did, and we are incredibly grateful.

Timberlynn fought so hard throughout her little life. She lived with Lissencephaly, a rare neurological condition sometimes called “smooth brain,” as well as the congenital heart condition Tetralogy of Fallot.

She may have been little, but she was most certainly a warrior. 💜

Now, instead of asking you to fight alongside Timberlynn, we are asking you to help surround the family who loved her beyond measure.

A GoFundMe has been created to help Timberlynn’s family with her funeral and burial expenses. If you are able to donate, any amount will help. If you aren’t able to give, sharing the fundraiser and continuing to keep her family in your prayers would mean just as much.

No parent should ever have to face saying goodbye to their child, much less worry about the financial burden of laying them to rest.

Sweet Timberlynn, your fight is over. You were loved fiercely, you touched hearts far beyond your own family, and you will not be forgotten.

💜 UPDATE 💜

We have made the decision to turn commenting off on this post out of respect for Timberlynn and her family.

It is with broken hearts that we share that sweet Timberlynn lost her battle on Monday. 💔

Thank you to every single person who saw this post, said her name, lifted her up in prayer, and wrapped her family in love.

Wyatt’s Army showed up for this precious little warrior when we asked, and we will forever be grateful. 💜💙

💜💙 TWO LITTLE WARRIORS. ONE BIG REQUEST FOR PRAYERS. 💙💜

On the left is beautiful little Timberlynn.
On the right is a little warrior you all know very well—Wyatt. 💙

These two little fighters have a connection that goes all the way back to Wyatt’s earliest days.

Timberlynn is just a little older than Wyatt and was in the NICU when Wyatt was born. Timberlynn and her family are local to our area and were friends with Wyatt’s family long before these two little warriors came along. 💜💙

Timberlynn was born with Lissencephaly, a rare brain condition in which the brain doesn’t develop the normal folds and grooves. It can cause significant challenges with development, feeding, breathing and seizures, and every child’s journey with it can be different.

Shortly after Wyatt was born, Timberlynn was able to leave the NICU and go home with her family. 💜

Unfortunately, this precious little girl has taken a turn for the worse and is now back in the NICU.

And today, she and her family need prayers.

Lots and lots of prayers. 🙏💜

So many of you prayed for the little boy on the right when his future was uncertain. You lifted Wyatt up through some of his hardest days, celebrated every ounce gained and every milestone reached, and surrounded his family with an incredible amount of love.

Today, we're asking you to do the same for the beautiful little girl on the left.

Pray for Timberlynn.

Pray for strength and comfort. Pray for her mom and dad. Pray for the doctors and nurses caring for her. And please pray for peace for everyone who loves this precious little girl.

Today, we're asking Wyatt's Army to become Timberlynn's Army, too. 💙💜

What a difference 24 hours can make.

Yesterday, we came to you with something we never imagined we would have to deal with. Someone had taken Wyatt’s photos and videos and was using them to create a fraudulent fundraiser overseas.

We asked our online family for help...

And you showed up. 💙

You reported it. You sent messages. You helped spread the word. And thanks to all of you, the scam using Wyatt’s photos and videos has been SHUT DOWN! 🙌💙

We cannot thank you enough.
Over the past 24 hours, we’ve also had some very serious conversations about whether continuing this page was the right thing to do.

The thought of shutting it down broke our hearts.

So many of you have been here through the scary days, the victories, the ounces gained, the milestones, the prayers and the tears. And now you’re here for the smiles, giggles, snuggles and all those beautiful everyday moments of Life After NICU.

You have become Wyatt’s online family.

And after a lot of thought, we’ve made our decision...
