🌟 Meet Our Staff: Addie – Direct Support Professional 🌟

This week we’re recognizing Addie!

Addie brings so much creativity to Encompass. She is incredibly artistic, loves finding new ways to bring that creativity into the program, and isn’t afraid to jump right in and make an idea happen.

She is also extremely observant. Addie notices the little things, recognizes patterns, and takes the time to figure out what works for each person she supports. She has a natural understanding that good support looks different for everyone and does a great job adjusting to the individual in front of her.

Although Addie is one of our younger DSPs, she already has such a strong natural understanding of this work. She brings a fresh perspective, a willingness to learn, and an eagerness to get involved that we really appreciate.

It makes us excited for the future of this field to see the next generation of DSPs embracing how person centered supports continue to grow and evolve.

🌟 Meet Our Staff: Shaun – Direct Support Professional 🌟

This week we’re recognizing Shaun!

Shaun brings years of experience in this field to Encompass, and it shows in the way he supports people. He has a calm, cool, and collected approach that allows him to handle whatever the day throws his way without losing sight of the person in front of him.

One of Shaun’s greatest strengths is his ability to really listen. He takes the time to understand what someone is saying, what they want, and what matters to them. When challenges come up, he calmly works through them alongside the person, making sure their choices are heard, understood, and supported throughout the process.

His experience has taught him when to step in, when to give someone space, and when to simply be there. He doesn’t rush to solve something for someone, he works through it with them.

Shaun’s patience, experience, and steady presence make him such a valuable part of Encompass and a great example of what person-centered support should look like.

Matt – Skills Empowerment DSP 🌟

Matt has a real talent for figuring people out—not just how they communicate, but what they’re naturally good at. He pays attention, gets to know each person, and often recognizes strengths and interests that may not be obvious at first.

Then he finds ways to bring those things out. Whether it’s introducing someone to an instrument, creating an art project around something they enjoy, or simply putting something new in front of them and giving them the chance to try, Matt is always encouraging exploration and discovery.

He is patient and understanding while also being realistic about what support looks like. He knows when to help, when to encourage, and when to give someone the space to figure something out for themselves.

From music class to art and everything in between, Matt brings creativity and a different way of looking at things to our Skills Empowerment Program.

🌟 Meet Our Staff: Justin – Skills Empowerment /DSP 🌟

This week we’re excited to recognize Justin Hull!

One of the best parts of having Justin on our team has been watching his growth. Over time, he has really found his place at Encompass and developed such a natural ability to connect with the people we support.

Justin is patient, accepting, and genuinely meets people where they are. He gives people the space to be themselves while encouraging them to try new things, build confidence, develop skills, and become more independent.

Justin is also the person behind our Encompass D&D! He brought the idea to us, and a year later, it’s still going strong. He took something he genuinely enjoys and turned it into an opportunity for people to connect over shared interests, build friendships, be creative, and have a place where they belong.

Watching Justin grow into the DSP he is today and become such an important part of our Skills Empowerment Program has been awesome. We’re so grateful for his patience, creativity, acceptance, and everything he brings to Encompass. 🎲🐉❤️

🌟 Meet Our Staff: Casina – Direct Support Professional 🌟

This week we’re excited to recognize Casina, one of our incredible DSPs!

Casina has a remarkable gift for supporting individuals who communicate without words. Her patience, attentiveness, and genuine desire to understand each person allow her to build meaningful connections that go far beyond verbal communication. She takes the time to learn each individual’s unique way of expressing themselves, ensuring they are heard, understood, and empowered.

Rather than doing things for the people she supports, Casina encourages them to do things for themselves. She believes in each person’s abilities and patiently helps them build confidence, independence, and new skills at their own pace.

Her calm presence, compassionate heart, and incredible observation skills make her an invaluable part of our team. Casina reminds us every day that communication comes in many forms, and everyone deserves to be understood.

Thank you, Casina, for the difference you make in the lives of the people we support. We are so grateful to have you as part of the Encompass Crew. 💙

Unfortunately, we’ve made the difficult decision to cancel our upcoming jet boat excursion.

With the unpredictable air quality and the event’s no-refund policy, we felt it was important to make this decision before anyone purchased tickets or signed waivers. Many of the individuals we support are on limited budgets, and we never want participants losing money because of circumstances beyond anyone’s control.

While we’re disappointed, the health, safety, and financial well-being of the people we support will always come first.

We’re already looking at options to bring this event back at a later date when conditions are more predictable. Thank you all for your understanding—we can’t wait to get out on the river with everyone soon!

This week we’re excited to introduce one of our incredible DSPs, Aleah!

Aleah has a way of bringing joy wherever she goes. Her outgoing personality, infectious energy, and willingness to jump in and dance, laugh, and have fun alongside the people we support make every day a little brighter. She knows that meaningful support isn’t just about meeting needs—it’s about creating experiences, building confidence, and making memories.

Aleah is deeply empathetic and forms genuine connections with the people she supports. She takes the time to understand each person’s goals and interests, helping them feel seen, valued, and included.

She has also been instrumental in the success of Encompass After Dark, helping build the program from the ground up. Her creativity, dedication, and ability to build strong community connections have opened new opportunities and experiences for the people we support, making our evening program the success it is today.

Aleah’s heart for people, positive attitude, and commitment to creating fun and meaningful opportunities make her an invaluable part of the Encompass family. We’re so grateful to have her on our team! 💙

This week we’re excited to recognize our Community Program Director, Ariel!

Ariel is truly the glue that holds so much of Encompass together. She is dependable, dedicated, and always willing to step in wherever she’s needed. Whether she’s supporting staff, helping participants, solving problems behind the scenes, or keeping our programs running smoothly, Ariel is someone our team can always count on.

She works tirelessly to ensure the Encompass way is reflected in everything we do—leading with compassion, person-centered values, and a commitment to excellence. Her consistency, reliability, and unwavering support help create the positive culture that makes Encompass what it is.
