At Encompass Person Centered, we believe meaningful support should fit the individual, not the other way around!

We offer a variety of services designed to promote independence, build relationships, explore interests, and create opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to be active members of their communities.

🌿 Daytime Group DSA (Day Support Activities)

Our daytime program offers opportunities to socialize, build skills, explore the community, and participate in meaningful activities alongside peers. From creative projects and community outings to trying new experiences, our days are built around connection, choice, and personal growth.

🌙 Encompass After Dark – Evening DSA

Not everyone wants or is able to participate in a traditional daytime program! Encompass After Dark brings opportunities for community inclusion, social connection, and fun into the evening hours. Concerts, local events, entertainment, and new experiences make room for different schedules and interests.

✨ Individual DSA Supports

Prefer a more individualized experience? Our one-on-one DSA services offer personalized opportunities to pursue interests, develop skills, and engage with the community at your own pace.
(Currently limited to those already receiving group DSA services)

🏡 Attendant Care Supports

We also offer attendant care services to assist individuals in their home and community, with everyday needs, routines, and personal goals while supporting independence, dignity, and choice.

Different schedules. Different interests. Different support needs. One person-centered approach.

At Encompass, we recognize that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to a meaningful life. Our goal is to create opportunities where individuals are respected, empowered, and supported in living life on their own terms.

It’s DSP Recognition Week! 🖤

This week, we get to celebrate the people who are truly at the heart of Encompass — our incredible DSPs.

The work they do is so much more than a job. They show up, listen, adapt, encourage, problem-solve, laugh, create, advocate, and sometimes simply sit beside someone and be exactly the person they need in that moment.

They help turn ideas into experiences, goals into accomplishments, and ordinary days into some pretty great memories. Most importantly, they make sure the people we support are heard, respected, included, and given the space to live life on their own terms.

We see the patience. We see the creativity. We see the extra effort that nobody asks for. We see the relationships you’ve built and the trust you’ve earned.

Encompass simply wouldn’t be Encompass without our DSPs.

So this week, we’re celebrating YOU — with a few little surprises along the way. 😉🎁

From a comedy night where some of our crew actually got up on stage and joined in on the improv 😂👏, to trips to the coast, creating art, mall adventures, Wildlife Safari, and plenty of time out in our community — we’ve been making some pretty great memories.

And of course, no Encompass update would be complete without some quality time with everyone’s favorite buddy, Brother. 🐾💚

Around here, it’s never just about where we go or what we do. It’s about trying new things, finding what makes each person light up, building confidence and connections, and having a whole lot of fun along the way.

🌟 Meet Our Staff: Addie – Direct Support Professional 🌟

This week we’re recognizing Addie!

Addie brings so much creativity to Encompass. She is incredibly artistic, loves finding new ways to bring that creativity into the program, and isn’t afraid to jump right in and make an idea happen.

She is also extremely observant. Addie notices the little things, recognizes patterns, and takes the time to figure out what works for each person she supports. She has a natural understanding that good support looks different for everyone and does a great job adjusting to the individual in front of her.

Although Addie is one of our younger DSPs, she already has such a strong natural understanding of this work. She brings a fresh perspective, a willingness to learn, and an eagerness to get involved that we really appreciate.

It makes us excited for the future of this field to see the next generation of DSPs embracing how person centered supports continue to grow and evolve.

🌟 Meet Our Staff: Shaun – Direct Support Professional 🌟

This week we’re recognizing Shaun!

Shaun brings years of experience in this field to Encompass, and it shows in the way he supports people. He has a calm, cool, and collected approach that allows him to handle whatever the day throws his way without losing sight of the person in front of him.

One of Shaun’s greatest strengths is his ability to really listen. He takes the time to understand what someone is saying, what they want, and what matters to them. When challenges come up, he calmly works through them alongside the person, making sure their choices are heard, understood, and supported throughout the process.

His experience has taught him when to step in, when to give someone space, and when to simply be there. He doesn’t rush to solve something for someone, he works through it with them.

Shaun’s patience, experience, and steady presence make him such a valuable part of Encompass and a great example of what person-centered support should look like.

🌟 Meet Our Staff:

Matt – Skills Empowerment DSP 🌟

Matt has a real talent for figuring people out—not just how they communicate, but what they’re naturally good at. He pays attention, gets to know each person, and often recognizes strengths and interests that may not be obvious at first.

Then he finds ways to bring those things out. Whether it’s introducing someone to an instrument, creating an art project around something they enjoy, or simply putting something new in front of them and giving them the chance to try, Matt is always encouraging exploration and discovery.

He is patient and understanding while also being realistic about what support looks like. He knows when to help, when to encourage, and when to give someone the space to figure something out for themselves.

From music class to art and everything in between, Matt brings creativity and a different way of looking at things to our Skills Empowerment Program.

Thank you, Matt, for seeing the abilities in people and finding ways to help them see those abilities in themselves. 🎶🎨❤️

🌟 Meet Our Staff: Justin – Skills Empowerment /DSP 🌟

This week we’re excited to recognize Justin Hull!

One of the best parts of having Justin on our team has been watching his growth. Over time, he has really found his place at Encompass and developed such a natural ability to connect with the people we support.

Justin is patient, accepting, and genuinely meets people where they are. He gives people the space to be themselves while encouraging them to try new things, build confidence, develop skills, and become more independent.

Justin is also the person behind our Encompass D&D! He brought the idea to us, and a year later, it’s still going strong. He took something he genuinely enjoys and turned it into an opportunity for people to connect over shared interests, build friendships, be creative, and have a place where they belong.

Watching Justin grow into the DSP he is today and become such an important part of our Skills Empowerment Program has been awesome. We’re so grateful for his patience, creativity, acceptance, and everything he brings to Encompass. 🎲🐉❤️

🌟 Meet Our Staff: Casina – Direct Support Professional 🌟

This week we’re excited to recognize Casina, one of our incredible DSPs!

Casina has a remarkable gift for supporting individuals who communicate without words. Her patience, attentiveness, and genuine desire to understand each person allow her to build meaningful connections that go far beyond verbal communication. She takes the time to learn each individual’s unique way of expressing themselves, ensuring they are heard, understood, and empowered.

Rather than doing things for the people she supports, Casina encourages them to do things for themselves. She believes in each person’s abilities and patiently helps them build confidence, independence, and new skills at their own pace.

Her calm presence, compassionate heart, and incredible observation skills make her an invaluable part of our team. Casina reminds us every day that communication comes in many forms, and everyone deserves to be understood.

Thank you, Casina, for the difference you make in the lives of the people we support. We are so grateful to have you as part of the Encompass Crew. 💙

Unfortunately, we’ve made the difficult decision to cancel our upcoming jet boat excursion.

With the unpredictable air quality and the event’s no-refund policy, we felt it was important to make this decision before anyone purchased tickets or signed waivers. Many of the individuals we support are on limited budgets, and we never want participants losing money because of circumstances beyond anyone’s control.

While we’re disappointed, the health, safety, and financial well-being of the people we support will always come first.

We’re already looking at options to bring this event back at a later date when conditions are more predictable. Thank you all for your understanding—we can’t wait to get out on the river with everyone soon!
